Good 57º cloudy morning.
Wow, hit 103º yesterday!!
"Oh thank Heaven for seven eleven"!!!! Today is my
daughter-in-law's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEN!!!! I love you. You are a
wonderful wife and mom AND cook! So glad you are in our family!!
Thanks Mike Cipolla for sharing... Old Blue Eyes .. Chairman
of the Board ... If you are my age you will love this. So many memories. If you
are younger you JUST MIGHT find it fun. You probably saw some of these 'clowns'
yourself!
Yesterday Jeannie got a new crown... actually two new crowns! The ceremony was exhausting.....
Oh wait..... not those kind, the ones on teeth! Sorry J.
Had to make a run to Grants Pass to the lab for a blood test. Has quite a
wait but talked to two really nice women and watched the "parade" in the lobby!
Then stopped by Brian's office. As I was leaving there was this HUGE beetle on
the door. Brian got him down and let him wander off. I think we should have
named him "VW".
After the bug altercation I went to Safeway, then the pharmacy, and the
bank. Excitement abounds! Then later a trip into Methford (giggle) for an
appointment with my neurologist,
Dr. Oscar Sanchez.
Dr. Oscar Sanchez.
In the mood to cook when I got home, finally, after 5pm...... Saw a couple
recipes for pasta salads and hot pasta dinners using grape tomatoes. Patty sent
me one, but this is a combo of several and my own ideas...
Fresh basil and parsley, grape tomatoes, garlic, vegetable Farfalle (made
with pureed carrots and butternut squash..along with wheat), artichokes,
mushrooms, Italian spice, Parmesan cheese, asparagus, olive oil, honey balsamic
vinegar, white wine...
Cook pasta. The last two minutes put in the cut up asparagus. Drain. In a
large pan put the olive oil and vinegar... add the cut up tomatoes, artichokes,
and mushrooms. Cook until liquid is somewhat dissipated and tomatoes are soft.
Add pasta and asparagus....
Add cheese and fresh basil and parsley... stir well and heat through...
OMGOOOOOD!!!!

On my way into Medford there was a lot of emergency vehicles on the
northbound side of the freeway by the Medford exit. It appeared to be a fire in
the bike lane on the east side of the freeway. Police had the bike lane blocked
off north and south and there were a number of fire trucks. I will go watch the
morning news, as of last night there was no know cause for the fire. Probably
some homeless person ....which happens more and more..
All I know. Happy TGIF. Nuff said. Ciao.
