Fog/Sun/Clouds ~ Bruiser ~ Tucker ~ Nancy's Parrot ~ Slipping Man ~ Moon Mullen ~ Congressman Walden & State Senator Baertschiger

Good 39º ice on the barn roof morning!

Yesterday it was sooooo foggy.

But, the sun did come out!

Last evening Bruiser was comfy on Dude's porch bed...

Towards sunset the clouds got colorful...

This morning there are still a few clouds lingering...

I didn't get to celebrate with Tucker and family for Tucker's birthday on Wednesday as I came down with a bad cold and didn't want to share it! Here is a picture Jen sent me of Tucker and his cake...

My pal Nancy (Kujala) Sammons (Wilsonite S'63) just lost her parrot she had for 37 years!!! OMGOSH. That is a long time! Sorry Nancy for you loss. Always hard when we lose one of our pets! xo Hugs to you Nancy!

Ok, here's a little chuckle...

The slipping man

A man and a woman were having a quiet, romantic dinner in a fine restaurant. They were gazing lovingly at each other and holding hands.
The waitress, taking another order at a table a few steps away, suddenly noticed the man slowly sliding down his chair... then sliding a little more... until he was almost under the table. The baffling thing is, the woman with him stared straight ahead and didn't seem to notice!

The waitress watched as the man slid all the way down his chair and out of sight under the table.
Still, the woman stared straight ahead.

The waitress, thinking this behavior a bit risqué and that it might offend other diners, went over to the table and, tactfully, began by saying to the woman "Pardon me, ma'am, but I think your husband just slid under the table..."

The woman calmly looked up at her and said, "No, he didn't. He just walked in the door."

So, yesterday I made a quick run to GP to pick up the new lenses for my other glasses. Then a stop at Safeway for a few things. It was such a beautiful day with the CLEAR sky and beautiful fluffy white clouds! No smoke!!! Yeah!

On the news was our US Congressman Greg Walden who is pushing for local control of our forests, even though they are "Federal Land"... and my pal Karen Baertschiger's son Herman who is a State Senator was there (on Walden's left)...

Yes, let Oregon control it's forests and the fires! The "let it burn" option the US Dept of Forestry uses is burning up too much of the forest, costing too much, and impacting our health! GO GREG!! GO HERMAN!!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.
