Good 58º cloudy morning. Rain was supposed to show up last
night, never did. Rain predicted for today and the next few days. Hmmmm....
Radar map shows rain around us but nothing close.
Yesterday we got a slight break in the smoke for
awhile....stayed cloudy, but humid and rose to 75º.
Stayed pretty cloudy...
I was happy to hear that the 186,000 Chetco Bar fire is now
84% contained! Don't know about the Montana fire though.
When I picked up my mail I got a book I had
ordered.....
Apparently the first Diaries of Anne Frank were edited by her
father and lots of personal stuff was deleted. This is supposed to be the truth,
the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Looking forward to reading
it.
Interesting facts:
The hummingbird is the only bird that can fly
backwards.
The heart of a blue whale is so huge that a person could
easily swim through it's arteries!

I just have to voice my opinion occasionally.... what is up with all these selfies? Good grief. Are these people so totally in love with themselves they think EVERYONE wants to see their face right up close? Just sayin'................
I posted a picture yesterday of the Culver Hotel and it's similarity to the Flat Iron Building in NY. Here is one of my favorite pictures and I use it for my desktop picture often... The Flat Iron Building:
I also love this one of LA...
If you like cats, you will enjoy this... Bruiser likes to relax on my desk, lots of times in my arm. He loves watching cat compilations on Youtube. Yesterday he was wrapped in my arm and enjoying this one:
And speaking of Bruiser, after dinner I went out to see where he was and lo and behold, he was wayyyyy up in the pasture. I grabbed my camera and ran out onto the porch. When he saw me he started running this way....
Dinner was Schwans shrimp egg rolls cooked in the Air Fryer and some of their fried rice. SO good!!!
And speaking of food.... my grandson Jack said he went to the
LA Co Fair in Pomona
and he had a deep fried cheese cake!
OMGOSH, that sounds GOOD!!!!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday. Ciao.

September 18th
National Cheeseburger Day
Top off America's favorite sandwich, with a piece of
cheese.
The food industry makes it a point to celebrate a wide variety
of foods. We believe the Cheeseburger certainly earns a special
day.
Celebrate National
Cheeseburger Day by firing up the
grill, and cooking cheeseburgers. You can do so for lunch or dinner.... or both!
Any kind of cheese will do. Try a different cheese, if your adventuresome. For
the carb conscious, eat your burgers without the buns.
Watch for....... luncheon and dinner specials today at
your local restaurants. Tops on the specials board certainly should be
cheeseburgers!
