Good 59º smokey morning. I kept the house open most of the day
yesterday as there was a breeze. Saw on the news a man trying to protect his
property near Klamath Falls and the winds were 75mph!!! The heat from the fire
he said was 125º. More evacuations expected. 10% containment only on some fires.
More in Siskiyou County (northernmost county in Ca!)
Here is the latest fire update...
Here is the sun coming up through the smoke
yesterday...
When the time changes and the sun is out early, 5-ish you
kinda get used to it. Then as the summer progresses and at 7 the sun still isn't
up it starts to feel odd. Here it has to come up over the mountain behind me and
sets behind the mountain in front of me. Still, here we're on a little different
time schedule as we are 200 miles west of Los Angeles.
So right now our sunset will be 8:30 pm and Los Angeles will be 7:52 pm.
When it's dark in LA I can still read outside without a light! In December the
sun will set here at 4:40 pm! Go to this site, put in your zip code and then
scroll down .. you can change to any day or month for both sunrise and
sunset..
Today is a special anniversary of my high school friend Adele (Easton) and
her hubby Tom Graves. 49 years!!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY kids!
... and here's one of their children.. Barkely~!

Such an arrogant self-indulged entitled
piece of junk! Even with the crises going on in the world he will no doubt be on
the golf course and not in his office where we pay him to be! Oh wait, golf all
weekend and back to the White House for today. Probably celebrating with a bunch
of Hollyweirdos!
1962 – Roger Clemens, American baseball

Yesterday I scanned photos and got a few ready to send to people that are
in them. The for dinner I made tacos...
I shredded some of the crockpot chicken into a pan....
I added some of the salsa and cheese, put on the lid, turned it on low
until all melted and hot..
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday. Ciao.

U.S. Coast Guard Day
U.S. Coast Guard Day honors the military branch that protects our
waters and shorelines. The U.S. Defense Department suggests that this day is
largely an internal celebration for all Coast Guard personnel and their
families, past and present. But, we'd like to encourage everyone to honor the
brave members of this important branch of the military.
Celebrate U.S. Coast
Guard Day by learning more about
the responsibilities and functions of the U.S. Coast Guard. They are now playing
an even more extensive role in Homeland Security to protect our country.
We salute Coast Guard personnel today and every day. We hope you do,
too.
