Good 40º cloudy morning.
Yesterday the clouds came in later in the day and the temperature topped at
75º. Such a beautiful day!
Breakfast was an omelette.... 3 eggs mixed with canned salmon, parmesan cheese, some mayonnaise, and organic vegetables... cooked and drizzled with creamy garlic sauce...
Yesterday I drove into Central Point to pick up Dude from the hospital... I
took this picture of Mt. McLaughlin... much like the sunrise one I took
Friday but no sunrise!
All the girls at the hospital told Dude goodbye and gave him a love! His CCL (cranial cruciate ligament) was ruptured, the cruciate was completely debraided. A plate and 6 bone screws were inserted.
He's on 6 pills every 8 hours and this healing will take 16 weeks! Minimum
activity. Sigh............... He won't take the pills, even wrapped in cheese,
so I stick them in the back of his throat and push them down! Not easy, as he
holds his mouth closed as tight as he can!
He ate laying down...
And the pillows I removed from the couch (so he wouldn't try and jump up
there) and put them on the floor...became Bruiser's comfy place....
Today is a special day.... my Brian has had his State Farm Office open for 9 years.
Congratulations Bri. Good job!!!

down.

Yorty, American politician (d. 1998)
... could not say Los

LOL, I'll defend myself with a knife 'OR A GUN' !!!!! But then I knew people who
pronounced Sepulveda as 'Spatch-a-doo-la'. Good

...Here is just another
idiotic injustice of giving out the Nobel Peace Prize. I can't even go there

Dude was confined to the living room for the night. Has to be kept in a
small area so he's not doing much walking. This is going to be a LONG recovery!
Good news, Pat Reardon (LASD ret) is recovering well from his aortic
surgery and is going home today. As with all of us he is so looking forward to
being home..... own bed, own chair, own TV, pet cats, and Alice cooking!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Sunday. Ciao.

National Homemade Cookie Day
Let's bake a lot of homemade cookies today, as it is Homemade Cookies Day. Baking
any kind of cookie will do. Put on your apron and get baking. The more cookies
you make, the better. You get extra points, if you are a mom. That's because
everybody knows that mom makes the best cookies!
What qualifies as "Homemade": Making cookies from scratch is certainly
homemade. And, it's the best way to celebrate this holiday. If you use a box
mix, it still qualifies as homemade. There is some disagreement, as to whether
using pre-packaged store bought cookie dough, where you slice the cookies and
then bake them, is considered homemade. We will let you make that call.
