Yesterday the Sears guy came to fix my washing machine. What a treat Pat was. Good looking! And really nice. Anyway, back to washing laundry. Yeah! It is of the new electronic age and had to be recalibrated!
Then it was haircut time. Glad the repair guy got here and I wasn't late
for my appointment. On the freeway I saw this black cloud overhead...
when I got under it, the rain poured down!! Then it was gone and the rain stopped!

I took Leah a late birthday present... she loves frogs like I do so found
this solar lit frog for her new deck...
For dinner I roasted some veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, yam, carrots,
asparagus, shallot) ... tossed with olive oil and garlic seasoning, roasted 400º
30 min. Then had those with crab cakes topped with Dijonnaise.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.

April 30, 2016 is
National
Raisin Day
It’s National Raisin Day! People have been dehydrating
grapes to make raisins for thousands of years. The practice dates back to 2000
B.C. and originated in Persia and Egypt. Raisins were also highly prized by the
Ancient Romans, who used this delicious snack food to barter. They also awarded
raisins as prizes at sporting events!
Raisins are low in fat and contain important nutrients like
iron, copper, calcium, and antioxidants. Raisins first became commercially
popular in 1873 when a heat wave destroyed acres and acres of California grape
vines. One grower decided to sell the dried grapes and marketed them as a
“Peruvian delicacy.” Today, California produces half of the world’s raisin
supply!
To celebrate National Raisin Day, snack on a box of raisins
or bake a delicious batch of oatmeal raisin
cookies!
