Good 42º cloudy morning.
Breakfast was two eggs with bacon salt and one of the pistachio muffins. I
squirted some I Can't Believe It's Not Butter on the muffin. OMGOOOOD!!!
Yesterday morning the sun peeked through the clouds onto my
mountain...
Then about 9am it started raining up there.....
About 10am it rained here! Dang, but for only about 10 minutes. And by 1:30
it was beautiful again..
Dude was happy on the porch... observing...
While Mr. Crazy, Bruiser, was out in the pasture hunting!
He caught something! Running with it past a couple turkeys...
And up the road he comes. UGH. I don't know what it was, and happily he
didn't bring it to the porch!
I infused some olive oil with Harmony House dried sliced garlic, chopped
onion, and jalapeño slices.
I store it in used wine bottles and put a pour spout on the one I am using.
Each bottle holds about 3 cups, so heated 9 ½ cups of olive oil to 179º.
Turned off the heat and added about ¾ cup of each of the dried veggies, stirred,
and let sit til completely cool. I used to use the dried red pepper flakes, but
like the flavor of the jalapeño better.
Once cool it all gets strained through a coffee filter and then poured into
the bottles. Such a great taste... a little oniony and garlicy and then a tiny
bite of the jalapeño. Mmmmm...

So, I said to him, "Barack I know Abe Lincoln, AND you ain't
Abe Lincoln..."
Ovamit has made numerous attempts to quote Lincoln, SO WHY
DOESN'T HE USE THIS FAMOUS LINCOLN QUOTE:
"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot
strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity
by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling the wage
payer down. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and
independence. You cannot help people permanently by doing for them what they
could or should do for themselves.
Abraham Lincoln

Most new cars have a back-up sensor. This warns the driver before the rear
bumper actually comes in contact with something. You may not know this, but the
back up sensor on vehicles was not invented by scientists or engineers, this
back up sensor was invented by a Chinese farmer! His invention is simple and
effective. It emits a high-pitched squeal when the vehicle backs into something.
