Then with the rest of the ingredients..... button mushrooms, sweet potato ribbons, artichoke hearts, baby carrots....
I cooked the carrots in salted boiling water also, for about 12 minutes, and drained.

The mushrooms were cut in half and drizzled with olive oil and "fried" in the Air Fryer ( and same with the sweet potato ribbons...

Drained the artichoke hearts and everything went into the big fry pan.... some garlic added, stirred well, and then the cheddar cheese sauce, and heated...

I  cooked an Omaha sirloin in the Air Fryer.... and Taaaaa Daaaa...
That was a GREAT idea. OMGOOOOOD!!!!

Chair, wine, and TV. Saw Dave Siddon on the news.

He is the Executive Director of the Wildlife Images, animal rehabilitation center, close here in Merlin.

New Moon ~ Fog ~ Bruiser/Turkeys ~ Haircut ~ New Keyboard ~ Buster The Boxer ~ Micol Klamm ~ Retired Clintoons ~ Monday Night NFL

Good 40º foggy morning. Rain predicted for tonight.

First thing in the morning I let Dude and Bruiser out. While I was making my tea I looked out and Bruiser was heading down the road towards the gate.... and about 12 turkeys were following him! Hmmm.... looked so funny. So I went out to see if I could get a picture, but the turkeys changed their attention to me!

Yesterday the weather got sunny, then cloudy, then sunny, and back and forth.

Warmed to 51º. Then some rain.. about 12 drops.

Yesterday was haircut day.
Leah is such a kick. We never stop talking! I got sort of a different cut this time... a shag. Many different layers of hair. I like it!

Then a stop at Staples for a new wireless keyboard and mouse. Nice big raised keyboard. Comfy.

When I got home I remembered I had forgotten to block off the back part of the house. Unfortunately Dude found all the dog treats and brought them into the living room....
The dental chews, jerky treats, and Milkbones! Don't think he ate any, but he opened the packages. Then in the bathroom one of my slippers was missing. Found it by my desk, full of drool!!!!!  Ah yes, he loves me!

This is hilarious ... shared by pal Ike Saben (LASD ret)....

Watch the first video (2 min) and then the second (38 seconds)
I'm still laughing! After you watch the first video, click on the box that says "Parody" and it will show you the second video.

Today is a special birthday, pal Micol Klamm is the girl of the hour. HAPPY BIRTHDAY girlfriend!!!! xoooxoxoxoo

Odd Photo ~ Elephant Rescue ~ Veal Patty/Risotto ~ Sunday NFL Scores ~ Monday NFL Game ~ Waffle Day

Good 43º drizzly morning. Another 1/10" of the wet stuff in the night. Looks like it's raining on my mountain right now. More on the way.

Picture of the day...

LOL, someone certainly got a great shot, one that makes you say, "how'd she do that floating thing?"

Yesterday was mop the kitchen floor day and take the trash to the road for today's pickup. Excitement abounds.

This is something. They let this elephant struggle for 11 hours to save it's baby from a well. FINALLY some people stepped up!!!!

The bystanders distracted the mother and saved the baby ... they were reunited.

Later dinner was leftover breaded veal patty heated with sauteéd mushrooms and some risotto.... of course and some tomato. This risotto I get at Safeway, one of their own products. Made with rice, cream, white wine, Parmesan and Romano cheese. SO good!

Sunday Football scores:

Of course you know who I was rooting for, but sad my Tootie's team lost at the same time. Also watched the Broncos Chiefs game. OMGOSH! Tied at the end of the game, over time and tied up again, and the final kick the Chiefs won. Rooting for Broncos. Ah well..............
And don't forget tonight, Monday:

All I know. Happy Monday. Nuff said. Ciao.

Have them sweet or savory (with mushrooms) !!!

Try this, Kristen made waffles from the Grands Cinnamon Rolls..... outstanding Tootie!!!
See, you can cook anything just about in a waffle iron .... cookie dough, cornbread.... spray or grease the waffle iron liberally, put a tortilla on there and cook until golden and make quesadillas .... or butter a piece of bread both sides and waffle it.... shred potatoes and waffle them and top with an egg...

Chocolate chip cookie dough waffles.... (or oatmeal!)

Chocolate donut waffle..... or plain....

paninni sandwich... fill with meat and cheese...or just cheese

slice pre-made polenta and waffle... serve with black beans

top a waffled tortilla with salsa...

waffle a double layer of pizza dough... top with feta cheese and micro greens... set in microwave for a few seconds to melt cheese...

top with mozzarella and baked or seared tomatoes, heat in oven, under broiler, or in microwave to melt cheese.

or....... with a 12" piece of dough, lay half in the iron, and cook til golden, pile on some leftover mac and cheese, top with other half and waffle for a few minutes, and before serving cut away excess dough..

Let me hear from you re your waffle experiments!!!
