Good 48º clear sunny the moon is out morning.
We stayed warm yesterday and topped at 94º. A cool down is coming, I hope! It's supposed to go to the low 80ºs and then high 70ºs. We'll see...........
Yesterday morning I took Dude to the vet hospital thinking he was going to have his surgery. Well, not. It was just an appointment with the surgeon and a scheduling of the surgery. Sigh. I will take him in on Thursday night, surgery on Friday, and he comes home Saturday. Everyone in the front office and the tech all fell in love with Dude!! Some even came out to give him some petting! Of course he licked them all! The surgeon, Dr. Fugazzi, is really a neat guy (good looking too!) and he loved on Dude also!

Here is an interesting story about it:
Interesting about The Leaning Tower of Niles Illinois
The Tower is a half-size replica of Italy's Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Leaning Tower of Pisa:
It was built by industrialist Robert Ilg as part of the recreation park for employees of the Ilg Hot Air Electric Ventilating Company of Chicago. Originally it was a utility tower, made from steel, concrete, and precast stone, designed to hide water filtration tanks. The tower was completed in 1934, which was the anniversary of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. A plaque at the base of the Leaning Tower of Niles says that it was built to honor Galileo Galilei, who demonstrated that objects of different weights fall at the same speed when he dropped various items from the top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
The Leaning Tower of Niles is 94 feet tall compared to Pisa's 177 feet and leans about 7 feet, 4 inches as opposed to Pisa's 13-foot tilt. It contains five bells. Three of the bells are thought to be several hundred years old, and to have been cast in Italy. How they came to be included in the tower is not known.
In 1991, the village of Niles, Illinois, established a sister city pact with Pisa, Italy.
Chicken Macaroni Salad is a bit of a twist on an old favorite, and the chicken makes it substantial enough to be a complete meal. In fact, it is!
- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 6 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 4 cups chunked cooked chicken
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- In a large pot of boiling water, cook macaroni 7 to 9 minutes, or just until tender. Drain, rinse, and let cool.
- In a large bowl, combine macaroni with remaining ingredients; mix well.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
**
You may want to moisten this with additional mayonnaise before serving, if you've chilled it first. For a different taste variation, try adding 1 teaspoon dried dill weed or dried basil, or 1/2 teaspoon celery seed.

On June 19, shake up some gin and vermouth with some ice and add a lemon twist. It’s National Martini Day!
This adult beverage has grown to become one of the best-known mixed alcoholic drinks. A cocktail made with gin and vermouth, the martini is normally garnished with an olive or lemon twist.
James Bond, the fictional spy, sometimes asked for his vodka martinis to be “shaken, not stirred.”
Some people prefer to have their martinis served “on the rocks”, which is the ingredients poured over ice cubes and served in an old-fashioned glass.
Dirty martini – Martini with a splash of olive brine or olive juice and is typically garnished with an olive.
Over the years, the traditional martini has had a number of variations added to it and other flavors have evolved such as the cosmopolitan, chocolatini or appletini.
HOW TO OBSERVE
Mix your favorite martini and drink responsibly.
** I like my martini dirty! I like Dirty Sue Martini Mix for that... either vodka or gin. YUMMMM-O !
