Apples/Grapes/Pears/Bees ~ PJ & Dave Taqueria la Guacamaya ~ Trish's Italian Pasta Salad ~ Ready For The 4th ~ Beans

Good 52º clear sunny morning. Yesterday we topped out at 93º.

So many things growing right now..... my apple tree in the front yard has a bunch of apples ....

These little green guys are really good, if I can get to them before the buck hops the fence and helps himself! LOL.
The grapes are starting...
The deer love the grape leaves and the wild turkeys climb up on top of the vines and eat the grapes!
The bees are busy on the lavender....

The Catalpa tree next to my front porch is full of blooms and bees too. The whole tree is buzzing!!!
And my pear tree out back is starting to produce. Now only if the bear doesn't come back and eat them all like he did last year!!!

Yesterday I picked up PJ and Dave and we went to lunch at Taqueria la Guacamaya to celebrate PJ's birthday. The food was awesome, as usual! Tamales soooooooooooooo good, and a fish taco. Margaritas, of course! Julio, the owner is super!

Nice time! and GREAT Margaritas!!!!

Here is a recipe my pal Trish shared with me. This is her Italian Pasta Salad.... it's similar to the Kraft version (that's where I got the picture!)

TRISH'S ITALIAN PASTA SALAD

1 PKG ROTINI PASTA, COOKED, RINSED W COLD WATER AND DRAINED (I USE THE MULTI COLORED PASTA AS IT MAKES A BEAUTIFUL PRESENTATION)
1/3 CUP GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE
1 BOTTLE WISH BONE ITALIAN DRESSING
3 CUPS BROCCOLI FLOWERETTES, SLIGHTLY CHOPPED
¼ RED BELL PEPPER, CHOPPED
½ CUP RED ONION, CHOPPED
½ CUP BLK OLIVES, CHOPPED
CAULIFLOUR FLOURETTES
SALT & PEPPER TO TASTE
(MAY ADD HARD SALAMI, CHOPPED OR SHRIMP, CHOPPED)
MIX ALL TOGETHER & REFRIGERATE FOR SEVERAL HOURS
Sounds great Trish!!! Thanks!!!

Later I had planned on fixing dinner, but was still too full from lunch!

So it was chair, wine, and TV ... Celebrity Fued, Rookie Blue, My Cat From Hell.

Tomorrow night is the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular. 3 hour music and fireworks show. Always my 4th favorite. The Boston Pops are AWESOME!!

I have DirecTV and it's on my channel 353, so you will have to search for it in your area. Mine is ready to record!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday. Ciao.
