Full Moon tonight at
9:06pm west coast time
Good 51º clear sunny morning.
Yesterday I had Dude at the vets at just after 8am. Nothing to eat after
6pm on Thursday, so he didn't understand why he wasn't getting breakfast! :o(
I picked him up at 1:30. Doc said he was good, has 3 stitches, and they
will come out on the 21st. I got a lampshade collar from the vets in case he
starts licking the stitches.
As you can see, it's very small.
There was no laceration on the abscess, but inside was a grass seed! That
is major head scratching time. Doc said it could have gotten in there a while
back and then just recently abscessed. Who knows. Rolling in the grass the doc
said would cause it. He has several meds to take now, for the pain and for any
infection. He's doing fine. Happy to be home.
When I got back home in the morning I finally had breakfast about 9:30.
Schwans Mini Scrambles, plain yogurt topped with banana & melon bites, and a
Stroopwaffle ( https://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=stroopwafels&tag=mh0b-20&index )
for dessert with my coffee!
Kraft Olive Oil Cracked Pepper mayonnaise was for dipping the Scrambles!
Really good!!!

National Blueberry Day
Just about every other fruit has its day of recognition. Yet, somehow
Blueberries have not had a day designated in its honor... up until now.
We think it is bizarre, that Blueberries have just now received its fair
and just recognition with a special day. In addition to tasting great,
Blueberries are loaded with fiber and rich in antioxidants. Blueberries are one
of the healthiest fruits you can eat. The most notable health benefits of
blueberries include: helps lower cholesterol to promote heart health, reduces
the risk of cancer, and can even help to slow the aging process.
Celebrate this very special day, by eating blueberries for breakfast,
lunch, dinner and snacks. Make plans to incorporate blueberries into your
regular menu planning. You can also celebrate National Blueberry day by planting
a couple of blueberry bushes in your yard. How to Grow Blueberry
Bushes
Did You Know? Most
blueberry bushes require at least two bushes of different varieties, to
pollinate and produce
berries.
