Pre-Season Football ~ Slo Mo Ladybug ~ Snapea Crisps ~ Liary Hates Dogs ~ Slow Cooker Cilantro Lime Chicken ~ Air Fryer Chicken Kiev

Good 51º morning. Clear and sunny! We hit 99º by 3pm yesterday. Hopefully cooler today.
Well Thursday with the pre-season football the dang Seachickens beat the Cowboys 27-17! The Nasty Niners lost to the Packers 21-10. Yeah for that after that POS Kaepernick sat during the National Anthem! (http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/the-49ers-address-colin-kaepernicks-decision-to-sit-during-the-national-anthem-082716 )

Alex's Dolphins beat the Falcons 17-6.   Then Friday my Patriots beat the Panthers 19-17! And yesterday:
Bears 7- Chiefs 23 (Sorry Suz!!), Colts 23 - Eagles 33 (Sorry Bri), the Jets 20 - Giants 21 (Sorry Tootie!), and the Lambs (Rams) 9 - Broncos 17.
This is amazing, if you haven't already seen it, a ladybug takes off in flight in slow motion!

When at the store the other day I found these flavorful snapea crisps.... they are made in Oregon by Calbee   http://calbeena.com/

I have always liked these little snacks, but the one with the Wasabi Ranch was AWESOME! So tangy! Check your local store or go on line or to: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Calbee+snappeas

Yesterday another over the top exciting day... more cupboard cleaning.

If you are a Democrat and you plan to vote for Hill-Liary you should read this.... it's not only the military and police she hates, she also is a hater of our favorite animal:

OK, how about slow cooker cilantro lime chicken...
Simple ingredients, easy, leftovers can be used for salads, enchiladas, etc..

Later for dinner I cooked a Chicken Kiev (Omaha Steaks) in the Air Fryer. I also tossed some broccoli with olive oil and garlic salt and put it in the last 5 minutes.

Yummmmo! Perfect!!!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Sunday. Ciao.

National Cherry Turnover Day

August 28, 2016 is
National Cherry Turnover Day
It’s National Cherry Turnover Day! Turnovers are a delicious pastry that can be enjoyed for breakfast or dessert. They originated in ancient times and are classified as "portable pies." Other dishes in this culinary family include pasties, empanadas, and spring rolls.
A traditional cherry turnover recipe calls for puff pastry, which is stuffed with a gooey cherry filling and then baked until golden brown. There are many variations on this classic treat, though. Some recipes call for cream cheese, extra lemon juice, or even ice cream.
To celebrate National Cherry Turnover Day, bake your own homemade cherry turnovers to share with friends and family! Bon appétit!
