Good 45º still drizzling morning. Rained a lot yesterday and
hard sounded like all night! Can't see the rain gauge yet to see how much we
got. Bet it's an inch at least!
Got this from Joe Kirk (LASD ret.) ... funny!!!
Today is special... my friends Dee and Dale Yellin (LASD SEB Motors ret) are celebrating their 23rd wedding anniversary. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KIDS!!! I hope you have a wonderful celebration ..... and Dee ...you get some jewelry!!! <g>
And another pal, husband of a dear friend Nancy, Dave
Perry is celebrating his birthday... and his retirement yesterday from Ace
Hardware! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE~!
Ace had a free lunch in honor of Dave. All the town's
people had been in to wish him well and offer congratulations. Nice! Not enough
cops in this town.... the donuts were not moving fast. The foot long sandwiches,
however, were gone in a heartbeat. Chips and dips and fresh veggies too. Good
spread!

I knew that fudge was right up your alley!! Vivia said she's making it to take Thanksgiving. I may have to pick up some of the ingredients and make it too. For me! xo
Rick Monday's history brought tears to my eyes. Yes, what a hero. I forgot about that. Great read. xo

I'll be making this fudge VERY soon!..........one of my fave 's.....thanks, xoxo Sally
LOL- What I remember best about the Dole run for President is that when Bo Derek was in the line behind the candidate, then men stood taller, sucked those guts in and didn't look nearly so bored.
Rick Monday- A life can be defined in a single moment. He made his great!
I remember watching an interviw with Rick Monday. He said out of his entire career in baseball, that flag rescue is what everyone remembers him for. A truly nice man and a patriot!
That turkey singing video must be going around the retirees of LASD. Art Herrera sent it to me. So funny!
Bo Derek is a patriot and a "R". :)
Oh man! P. Butter fudge is my all time favorite! I am ignoring it!! My mother made it and oh so yummy! :)
