Owl ~ Karla & Tammy ~ Artichokes & Pincher Bugs ~ Onion Rings

Good cloudy 56º morning. Radar all over the place!

Patty and Cliff have gone back to their "fishing shack" at Gold Beach and Jeannie and Bill are over in Brookings, catching up with one of Bill's old LASD partners, JD Smith and his wife Vickie, camping at a trailer park.  Jeannie wrote this morning and said it's raining there now. Coming this way...soon..... Guess that limits the "walks on the beach" !

Hey, FRYday is here! TGIF. One more week of work, Kristen! Yeah, then you get vacation!! Whoot whoot whoot!!!

Brian Jen et.al. flew from Medford to LAX yesterday afternoon. Then they drove to San Diego where they will visit Legoland for Tucker and Sami. Jen called at 6:15 and they were just hitting the 405 fwy! UGH!!! LA traffic.

This eagle owl is heading right for a security camera. Only 50+ seconds, if you haven't seen it before..... thanks to my 'daily drive' friend Judy Duvall for this! Awesome bird!

Today there are two special birthdays..... Karla Bowers, my friend from Ray's Market in RR.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY KARLA!!!!

.... and my friend Tammy Hyman, of beautiful Downtown Modesto! and mother of our rescued black lab (Mr. Big Stuff) ... Sideways. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAMMY! Thanks for being such a good mom to Sideways, along with Gary!

.....Sideways pictured with his forever buddy, Jaco......
"Big Stuff", as I named him, was found by PJ on an I-5 off ramp in Gold Hill, I picked him up and brought him home and searched for his owner. Why anyone would abandon a dog like this was beyond my imagination. A real beauty! I was due for back surgery and really couldn't take on another dog, so Tammy wanted him and Janie Alden and I took him half way to Modesto to Redding where Tammy and Gary picked him up. He couldn't have a better home! Jaco loves him too.
