Good 45º sunny, somewhat cloudy morning.
Here is the forecast map.... Sorry Patty Cliff Bill Jeannie... more rain
hitting the coast today!
Yesterday was not your 'typical June 22nd' weather. It started sprinkling
in the morning, on and off, by afternoon it started coming down in BUCKETS~! All
day we had about 1/8" and then in the course of 30 minutes we got twice
that!
I even made us a cozy fire in the wood stove! June? Funny.
I made a really good potato salad... used Yukon Gold, red, and purple
'fingerling' potatoes. Cut each in half and boiled them til soft along with some
baby carrots. I re-hydrated some mushrooms, added those, and some fresh Italian
parsley and artichoke hearts. Then I mixed some pesto sauce with mayonnaise,
stirred it in, and voilá !
Today is a special birthday, my friend Janie Alden. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANIE!!! (I miss you girl. You work too much!)
She is quite the leather craftswoman.... check it out: http://www.r6leather.com/photos.htm
Husband Dana makes saddles, son Tim makes boots, and Janie makes chaps,
purses, sandals, etc.....
Historically this date...

defeated Paris in now occupied France.
1942 – World War II: the first

..........unbelievably horribly sickening!

death in Highland Park,
Michigan, by two auto workers who had mistaken him for Japanese and who were
angry about the success of Japanese auto companies.
1985 – A terrorist bomb aboard Air India flight

And births this date include...
....ah yes, Fargo!
The birds in the birdhouses on my porch are busy busy. Lots of chirping
going on and many trips bringing food by both moms and dads....
I did have to go into town yesterday to the post office, pharmacy, and
market... I wore a new shirt and it got lots of laughs!
Coming back up our road was a doe and her brand new baby fawn. Sorry, poor
picture. Only had the little Nikon! That baby was sooooo cute. It kept looking at me and the mom was saying, "COME ON! INTO THE TREES!"
Atlas was happy to see me return. He has attacks of anxiety when he's left
alone...
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.
