Good 60º dark gloomy morning. Smoke still out there. What gets
me is the shorter days. This was the 6am darkness and now it's the 7am darkness.
I got there about 7:45. I was talking to the gal who signed me
in about getting out so early. (Being retired has made a lot of changes in my
morning hours!) And I told her how desperate for hot tea or coffee I was. She
told me the lab in the building with Urgent Care had their lab open at 6am.
WAHHHHT? Why in the world would I want to get up at 4:30 am to go take a blood
test???? UGH.
Geeeeze. Got back home at 9 and made coffee
immediately!
We actually had some sun yesterday and I could even see some clouds!!!!
OMGOSH. I could see my mountain!!!!
Dude was happy outside with less smoke and some sun....
With the sun coming through we warmed to 88º.

Bread? OMG..... I am drooling. Gotta go get a loaf of Italian
Bread!
1 loaf Italian Bread
8oz. shredded Mexican cheese blend
16oz crisp cooked bacon, diced
½ cup butter, melted
1 T. Hidden Valley Ranch dry dressing mix
Preheat oven to 350º. Prepare 2 sheets of aluminum foil to wrap the bread in, overlap the foil so the bread will be completely covered.
On the cutting board, slice the bread in 3/4 inch slice intervals, being careful not to cut all the way through. Cut again, crosswise, not cutting all the way through.
Slide the bread onto the foil and stuff the cheese between all the cuts. Sprinkle with the bacon. Mix the melted butter with the dry dressing mix and drizzle it over the top of the bread evenly.
Wrap in foil snuggly around the bread, bake 15 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 minutes more. Serve hot!
Dinner was an air fried Omaha Sole Almondine sitting atop fresh baby spinach and tomato drizzled with a bit of olive oil and corn on the cob.... OMGOOOOOOD!!!!!

Teddy
Bear Day
(This
is basically what mine looked like. When I was born my Aunt Agnes gave it to me.
I kept him with me forever, but have looked for him in recent years and have no
idea what happened to him.)
Today
is Teddy Bear Day. A Teddy Bear is a special friend to children all over
the world. He's cuddly. He makes you feel secure in an otherwise insecure world.
He's lovable. Your Teddy Bear is both a companion and a comforter. And, he's not
afraid of the dark. He'll keep you safe.
Spend
the day and night with your teddy bear . Cuddle up to him. Talk to him. And, do
all of your favorite things together.
Parents
and adults: No child should grow up without a teddy bear. If you know of any kid
without one, use this day to buy a teddy bear for them.
As we
become adults, some find it difficult to give up our teddy bears. We feel there
is no reason to give him up. Some adults have their teddy bears around all their
lives. Its perfectly normal....and okay.
Have a
happy Teddy Bear Day!
So..................
at the LASD reunion in Laughlin last year I bought this guy... Deputy
Teddy!
