Good 51º super smokey morning. We topped out
at 76º yesterday....
The smoke, again, yesterday was horrible...
8:15am:
Yesterday's breakfast was another omelette with the new omelette maker. This time I put in some diced tomato...
I jut can't get over how good these omelettes are. Having fun
with it....
So, about 9:15 I went out to take a picture of the sun... as it was covered with the smoke...
At the same time my internet connection was acting up.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr........... maybe because I have horrible internet ... via Century
Link... and probably everyone and their brother was on line to watch the live
feed of the eclipse.
These were the best I could do with the eclipse ...
It never got dark as I expected. Darn!
Dude and Bruiser.... :Whatcha doin' Dude???" "Just layin' here, observing..."
Ok Mom, as long as your sitting on the porch steps I will sit here above
you and keep and eye out...
And since Bruiser is close, I want to be too and give you a kiss!
Here is where all the Oregon fires are and the size... Not surprising the amount of smoke here... We are where the arrow is....
Oh, and BTW, the Chetco Bar Fire advanced to 91,000 acres yesterday. If our
stupid ass governor would do something, it would be a good thing!! And the
Department of Forestry is run by idiots also. That fire could have been put out
almost as soon as it started, but noooooooooooooooo.... they wanted to be
"natural" and let it burn the forest! Doesn't matter that people's homes and
lives are in danger and evacuation of 1700 homes has been ordered! AND we can't
breathe!!!!!
By mid afternoon... not much change, except more smoke....
Here is a great photo of "totaled eclipse" .....
