Good 52º icky smokey morning. This will go on for quite
awhile!
Smoke was horrible again yesterday. My mountain completely
disappeared!
We hit 97º.
I had some visitors at the water tubs .... momma and
Bambi...
Yesterday was my annual doc visit with my cardiologist Dr.
Brian Morrison down in Medford.
Driving there the smoke was disgusting...
His nurse assistant, Megan, was super! Really like her. She gave me an EKG.
It came back fine. Yeah!
As far as the exam, Doc Brian checked everything and said lungs were clear
and all good. He does want me on my stationary bicycle more often. And yes, I
can drink wine while riding! (giggle) Anyway, I am good to go for another year!
Thanks Doctor Brian!!!
Then a quick stop at Trader Joe's for a case of wine (naturally) and some
extra goodies...
... a basil plant for my kitchen window, Blue Berry Breakfast Biscuits
(OMGOOOD), TJ's Sriracha Ranch Dressing, Gnocchi (mmmmmm), some of TJ's
great "made in Italy" tortellini with pesto filling, and "Trader Giotto's"
Pomodoro Sauce (made from imported Italian tomatoes and 3 cheeses).
Then to 7 Oaks Farm in Central Point...
I got 4 ears of their super good corn on the cob, a big fat melon, and an
eggplant. Super good produce there and great prices... only $4 for this:

Here are today’s five thing to know about
Marshmallow:
- This confection is the modern version of a medicinal confection made from Althaea officinalis, the marshmallow plant.
- Not all marshmallows are vegan, most marshmallows contain eggs or animal based gelatin.
- The marshmallow is a confection that, in its modern form, typically consists of sugar, corn syrup, water, gelatin that has been softened in hot water, dextrose, vanilla flavorings, and sometimes coloring, whipped to a spongy consistency.
- The marshmallow probably first came into being as a medicinal substance, since the mucilaginous extracts comes from the root of the marshmallow plant, Althaea officinalis, which were used as a remedy for sore throats.
- Concoctions of other parts of the marshmallow plant had medical uses as well.
In regards to S'mores....
