Good 54º super smokey morning. Yesterday stayed thick as
molasses most of the day and finally in the afternoon it cleared a bit and I
could see my mountain. Gone again now! We topped at 95º here in Rogue River, but Grants Pass was 100º.
Breakfast yesterday..
A couple hard boiled eggs, leftover vegetables from dinner,
avocado, and yogurt. I am so disappointed in the avocados. I got a bag of 4 from
Costco. Two were perfect, one was so horrible I threw it out, and this one was
sadly not perfect. I do know a bit about avocados ... how to store them, when
they are ripe, etc. Daddy had an avocado tree with about 5 varieties
grafted onto it. We had Hass and Fuerte, but can't remember the others... They
all matured at different times of the year, so we had avocados year round! So,
the avocados 2 out of the 4 being bad, pissed me off!
Talk about things that piss you off..... this is SO DISGUSTING... What they
did should happen to them!
I heard some odd type of "gobbling" outside, and here were two Toms in a
fight...
The one on the left was going after the other one and puffing out his
feathers. It's an assertion of dominance. Here's an example of what they were
doing...

Interesting fact shared by my pal Sugar Bear:
WHY?
In golf,
where did the term 'Caddie' come from?
BECAUSE..
When Mary
Queen of Scots went to France as a young girl, Louis, King of France, learned
that she loved the Scots game 'golf.' He had the first course outside of
Scotland built for her enjoyment. To make sure she was properly chaperoned (and
guarded) while she played, Louis hired cadets from a military school to
accompany her.
Mary liked
this a lot and when she returned to Scotland (not a very good idea in the long
run), she took the practice with her. In French, the word cadet is pronounced
'ca-day' and the Scots changed it into caddie.
I had sent a photo into KOBI5-TV of the smoke hiding my mountain yesterday
..... they put it on the 6 o'clock news!!!
Dinner was an Omaha Italian Breaded Veal Patty. Ground veal with Italian
seasonings, bread crumbs, Romano cheese, garlic, and cornmeal....
Thawed and sauteéd in olive oil and had it along with some Schwans green
beans and some of my homemade sweet hot chili sauce. OMGOOOD!
Sunset last night...
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.
