Historically this date...
1914 – A male servant of American architect Frank Lloyd Wright sets fire to the living quarters of the
architect's Wisconsin home, Taliesin, murders seven people and burns the
living quarters to the ground.
.......... Wright was definitely and
interesting man. I love his architecture! Click on the word "Taliesin" and read
the fascinating story of that home.... his second wife and her murder. His
'winter home' he built in Scottsdale AZ and called it Taliesin West. I would
love to go there and see it. Some day. Scottsdale is a very neat
place!
1935 – Will Rogers and Wiley Post are killed after their aircraft develops
engine problems during takeoff in Barrow, Alaska.
1945 – World War II: Japan surrenders to end the war.
.... this is neat.... my Mom's birthday
is on the surrender date and my birthday is on the peace treaty signing
date!
1965 – The Beatles play to nearly 60,000 fans at Shea
Stadium in New York City, in an event later seen as marking the
birth of stadium rock.
1969 – The Woodstock Music and Art
Festival opens
1971 – President Richard Nixon completes the break from the gold standard by endingconvertibility of the United States dollar into gold by foreign
investors.
1974 – Yuk Young-soo, First Lady of South Korea, is killed during an apparent
assassination attempt upon President of South Korea, Park Chung-hee.
..... Man oh man, can you imagine your
name being "Yuk"!
"Ewwwwww, Yuk", "What?" "I think since
you are little I'll call you Yukkie!" LOL
And births this date
include....
1912 – Julia Child, American cook and TV personality (d.
2004)
... .and played by Meryl Streep.....
she was soooo good!
1923 – Rose Marie, American actress (93 years old and
still kicking!)

So, yesterday I went to the orthopedic surgery office in Grants Pass. I was treated by Physician Assistant, Jessica Francom.
She is extremely knowledgeable and nice! Really liked her. She assists the
three MDs in the office. Degrees from BYU and Chicago. So, after reviewing my
x-ray and testing the flexibility and where the pain is the conclusion is that I
have an inflamed or torn rotator cuff.
I was given a cortisone/steroid injection.
"Cortisone/steroid injection:
Chair, wine, TV ...... several episodes of NYPD Blue and Family Feud.
Glucocorticoids, particularly prednisone and cortisone, are
used in injections for inflammation and pain. These hormenes can help reduce
inflammation and pain in the body. Cortisone is the most well known injected
steroid and it has a dramatic anti-flammatory effect on tissues, particularly
joints and tendons."
The shot should relieve the pain. If it doesn't, then probably I'll have an
MRI to determine the severity of the pain and if a surgery is needed. Cross your
fingers that won't have to happen! I am not ambidextrous and can't do anything
with my left hand but raise a glass of wine!!!
Last night dinner was an Omaha Steaks Sole Almondine frozen and cooked in
the Air Fryer (370º for 13 minutes after drizzling with olive oil and sprinkled
with Lawry's Garlic Salt then when done topped with Pomegranate Mayonnaise),
Schwans green beans, and corn on the cob (slathered with mayo and sprinkled with
Bob's Seasoned Salt)
OMGOOOD!!!!
Chair, wine, TV ...... several episodes of NYPD Blue and Family Feud.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.

Here are today’s five thing to know about
Lemons
- Lemon trees bloom and produce fruit year-round. Each tree can produce between 500 and 600 pounds of lemons in a year.
- Add the juice of one lemon to an equal amount of hot water for an anti-bacterial gargle.
- Food historians say lemons have been in cultivation around the Mediterranean from as early as the first century A.D.
- High in vitamin C, lemons prevent scurvy, a disease that causes bleeding gums, loose teeth and aching joints. To this day, the British Navy requires ships to carry enough lemons so that every sailor can have one ounce of juice a day.
- California and Arizona produce 95% of the entire U.S. lemon crop.
