Good 55ºclear sunny morning.
That moon was soooooooooooooo bright last night. Tonight will be the same!
We got up to 98º yesterday. We've been so lucky with the triple digits
hitting so many places! Southern and Northern California are melting! So are
some places in Idaho! Espcially in Arizona and Nevada! There is a severe heat
advisory for today in most of central California from LA to north of Sacramento.
Also in some spots of Utah and Montana. Plus Los Angeles had two power outages
yesterday that affected thousands, 140,000 to be exact!
So.... yesterday I got my Schwans order. Normally scheduled for every other
Tuesday, but this last one was the 4th, so delivery delayed. Anyway, I ordered
some Caramel Pecan Rolls. Keep frozen, 40-50 seconds in the microwave.
One bite and I was HOOKED! Once I started eating it I could NOT stop!
OMGOOOOOOD!!!! Good thing there are only 6 to a box!
This Flatiron Building in NY always interested
me...
Flatiron Building, NYC. Built in 1902. (architect Daniel
Hudson Burnham) This building was originally the Fuller Building. It is a
triangular 22 story steel-framed landmarked building located at 175 Fifth
Avenue. When built it was one of the tallest buildings in NY. The building sits
on a triangular block formed by Fifth Avenue, Broadway, and East 22nd Street. It
derived it's name from the resemblance to a cast-iron clothing iron. The
neighborhood around it is called the Flatiorn District. Designated as a NYC
landmark in 1966, added to the National Register of Historical Places in 1979,
and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1989.
Last night Jen, Tucker, Sami, and my grandson Jackson arrived
at the airport from LA. Now we're going to give Jack the Nickel Tour of our area
for a few days. Should be fun!

Dinner was another sole almondine, cooked in Air Fryer, with
some vegetables. I put olive oil in the big pan, added in about 2 T of crushed
garlic, half a cup of water, the veggies, turned on med high and left an opening
between the lid and pan. They steamed for about 5 minutes.
Perfectamente hecho!
Chair, wine, TV... Family Fude, My Cat From Hell, Rookie Blue. Dude was
napping. He's been good about licking that surgery spot! He's on antibiotics and
a pain pill. Not showing any signs of pain, so will stop that today.
