Good 60º clear sunny morning. My projection clock at 6:01 am
said it was 60.1º outside!
Yesterday about 10am I was outside doing a couple things. It was already
80º and climbed steadily after that... Bruiser was out investigating fence
climbing...
The bleak look of the dry and dead pastures is depressing. Come on
rain!!!
Thanks Sally Harper for sharing this...
John Wayne's 5 Rules for Life:
1. Money cannot buy happiness, but it's more comfortable to cry in
a Mercedes than on a bicycle.
2. Forgive your enemy, but remember the bastard's
name.
3. Help someone when they are in trouble and they will remember you
when they are in trouble again.
4. Some people are alive simply because it's against the law to
kill them.
5. Alcohol does not solve any problems, but than again, neither
does milk.
#4 is the
one I had framed years ago and kept it in my office at ELA Station!
Ok this is interesting/scary.
The International Olympic Committee has announced today that
it has taken back the gold medal previously awarded to American skier
Lindsey Vonn..................
and has given it to U.S. President Barack Ovamit!
Olympic officials said Ovamit deserved the medal more than Vonn because no
one has ever taken a country downhill faster than he has.
(OMGOSH, Gator, this made me laugh out loud!!! At first I was

Friend Mo Meyer and I were discussing her painting of Avalon over her bed. I

August 14th
National Creamsicle Day
The heat and humidity of August beckons you to
discover, and to enjoy, a summer cooler. A creamsicle is an excellent choice.
This is one of several chilly ice cream and frozen snack days to enjoy on a hot,
sticky August day. Just make sure to eat your creamsicle quickly before it
melts.
