Good 43º cloudy morning.
Yesterday with not even a "chance" of rain predicted... at 12:30 it was
pouring!
I sent the above photos to KOBI 5 News for the weather department and joked
they said "no rain" for the next week... I got a personal email from Weatherman
Jeff Heaton, saying he had forecast the rain in the 7am news. Sorry Jeff, I
didn't see the early news, only the night before. Thanks for the note though!!
All the people on the Ch 5 News are my favs!!! And Jeff, I promise I will watch your early news from now on!
I just loved the look of the clouds... By afternoon we warmed up to 62º and we had received another 1/4" of that precious wet stuff!
And then 1/2 an hour later there was some blue sky!
This is interesting.. with 2013 statistics, here are the 20 most dangerous
cities in the US:

Thanks George Bachmeier (LASD ret) for these. Whodda thought on some of
them!
Yesterday, Monday, pay bills day. GROAN...
Goofy Bruise decided to nap on top of the printer... there was a magazine
on the other one and he put his head on it and slept like a rock!
Then he got a little more comfortable....
Historically this date....
1883 – American Old
West: Self-described "Black
Bart the poet"
gets away with his laststagecoach robbery, but leaves a clue that eventually
leads to his capture.

an income
tax.
And births
this date include...
1921 – Charles
Bronson, American actor (d. 2003)
1952 – Roseanne
Barr, American actress and comedian
..wonder why
"comedians" named Roseanne or Rosie are such vulgar pieces of
work?
She is now an
"organic macadamia nut farmer" in Hawaii. More like an "organic nut"
herself!
1953 – Kate
Capshaw, American actress
1957 – Dolph
Lundgren, Swedish actor
This was sent by Pat Kelly, Greece traveling pal... I changed it to fit me!
(It did say "beer")
Special friends, Ann and Gabe Ramirez (LASD both ret) are celebrating their
25th anniversary today. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY kids!! You both look GREAT!
And email pal, Mike Cipolla is celebrating his birthday today. HAPPY
BIRTHDAY MIKE!!!! (with his bride, Nan)
I generally buy Real Lemon juice at Costco, but was running low so I got
some of the First Street lemon juice at Safeway. DON'T buy it. It is TERRIBLE
and even had brown sediment. UGH. I poured it down the drain.
Later it was martini time again ..... football.....
Lots going on in the football world.... Titans have fired their head coach
and Kaepernick, SF 49ers quarterback, has been benched... maybe permanently!
Dinner was some salmon (I think it came from Patty & Cliff.....found it
in the freezer) and an avocado my sister Betty sent me, and some stir
fried/steamed veggies...
Out on the porch the LBBs (little brown birdies) were preparing their
'house' for winter....
And Mr. Buck was eating leaves off the apple tree.....
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.

November 3rd
National Sandwich Day
The club sandwich was invented in London, but classic American sandwiches
include cream cheese (cream cheese was invented in Philadelphia), the cheese
steak, the hamburger, the peanut butter (an American invention: PB & jelly)
sandwich, sloppy joe, and the American-born mega sandwich... the submarine aka
hoagie, grinder, etc. The sandwich was first popularized in Europe, it is
America that has taken it to heart embracing it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
and creating as many types of sandwiches as there are
ingredients.

Tweet. Tweet. That birdie has found a perfect home.
The pictures- looks like some of yesterday's deviled eggs ended up in a sandwich.
We got a decent amount of rain yesterday. May it fall softly. And often.
As long as Bruiser can't reach up to that birdhouse, the birdies are OK! Glad you got the rain, L. Kristen was happy about it too. ox
Uh oh, English Sparrows.
Pests. Will take over the rest of your Abodes.
I don't care, GML. I like all the birds! ox
