Good 41º foggy morning.
Yesterday it started raining again about 8:45am.
Didn't last long, just sprinkled
occasionally... then about 12:30pm it started coming down again harder. Then it
stopped and the sun tried coming out.
It warmed to 59º . Then the clouds moved
in again... and by 3pm it was coming down pretty good. Looks like we got about
1/8".
Breakfast.... two eggs and a dollop of creamy garlic sauce, mixed up in the
Egg-Tastic. Chopped up left over veggies from dinner and stirred them in. Cooked
in micro 1 minute, stirred, and cooked an additional 1 minute 10 seconds. Added
cheese and let sit a minute.
Cottage cheese, avocado with creamy garlic sauce, and eggs...

Some of you have said your Costco doesn't carry the Creamy Garlic Sauce...
go to their desk and request they get in "Culinary Treasures Creamy Garlic
Sauce". It's made exclusively for Costco.

California this will be interesting... Pio Pico....
Yesterday at the vet's office this gentleman said Semper Fi to
me when I walked in. I was wearing my USMC sweatshirt. I asked if he had been a
Marine. He said he had. And he asked me.. I said I married a Marine and
gave birth to a Marine. He said his wife did too. I told him my son's name is
Pendleton and he said he has seen his State Farm sign and he, John, had been
stationed there also. He had a Harley shirt on, so we discussed Harleys as well
as Marines and of course dogs. I told him about Dude and he and his wife rescue
Rottweiler's! OMG, so many things in common. We had a real fun chat!
Neighbor Frank called me on Monday saying somebody ran into his trash can
and my recycle can up on the road. So Or Sanitation will replace them today....
both still full..
Sure a lot of idiots out there on the road! They missed my
trash can and the other neighbor's trash and recycle cans.
Dinner... I cooked some pasta, then cut up mushrooms, celery, and shallots.
"Spaghettized" a zucchini....
First I sauteéd the celery, mushrooms, and shallot then added in the
ravioli. A little, 1/4 cup, chicken stock added to steam, then in went spinach
and zucchini. Steamed a bit longer...
Then I added in a can of Cheesy Broccoli soup and some Parmesan cheese.
Heated through.
OMGOOOOD!!!!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

Good story on Pio Pico. The Homestead is near here- we really should plan to go in. Happy eating! Look forward to tomorrow's eats.
Tomorrow's will be reruns. xo
hmmmm On Whittier Bldv. just where you exit the freeway when we would go to my in-law's house, there was the homestead or something that belonged to Pic Pico. It's between Whittier and Pico Rivera. Lordy he was an ugly man! I guess in their caste system Becky's family would be at the bottom because of their Spanish and Irish blood. lol No Indian blood.
I read most of the story about little Genie. What a sad story. It made me furious that a mad man could get away with the treatment of his family for so long and not be discovered. I didn't finish the story because of it's length so don't know what has happened to the poor girl.
Forgot to ask John how much rain he has run into up there in Oregon. We had rain night before last sand yesterday. Yippee!!
XO Trisha
Genie is being cared for now in a mental facility, T. Yes, tragic to say the least. Pio Pico WAS ugly!!! So agree. xo
