Good 48º cloudy morning. Yesterday was clear and I took a picture of the

Breakfast yesterday, yes ... my Egg-Tastic eggs with a little parsley, some Mrs. Dash seasoning, and Parmesan cheese added after cooking is done to just sit on top and melt. Along with that a chicken thigh with gravy and a pear off my tree.
Here is an Egg-Tastic demo on youtube:
If you bought an Egg-Tastic, like so many of you have after my love affair
with the egg cooker, and it didn't come with the two pages of recipes, let me
know and I'll either mail them to you or email them and you can print them out.
Just let me know.
Yesterday was shopping errand day. A stop at Brian's office to make a
donation. Sami's school, Highland Elementary (BTW whose PTA President is Jen!)
is having a jog-a-thon to raise money for an AC system. Then to Safeway for
groceries. The pharmacy for a prescription, and ACE to inquire when the deer
blocks will be back in stock. Home to put everything away. Dinner was the
Taqueria Mexico leftovers.
The sunset was beautiful!
.... and my Dude watching it too:
All I know. Nuff said. Happy TBT. Ciao.

World Vegetarian Day
World Vegetarian Day encourages us all to eat our vegetables and
fruits. Countless studies have proven that a diet filled with fruits and
vegetables is good for our health. Vegetarians, have taken this path either for
their health, or from a conviction that they should not eat, and therefore, kill
animals.
A vegetarian, by definition, eats no meat. That includes fish and other
forms of seafood. Bottom line is, a vegetarian eats no animal. Their diet
consists of plants....fruits and vegetables. They are ethically and morally
opposed to killing animals for food. They are also against poor treatment of
animals at farms and slaughterhouses.
There are plenty of groups and organizations that support the vegetarian
effort. If you are considering becoming a vegetarian, a quick web search, or a
look up in your local phone directory should produce a group near you. While you
are online, check out the wide range of sites offering vegetarian
recipes.
This day is used to promote awareness of the issues, and encourages others
to become vegetarians. Seeing as fruits and vegetables are very healthy for
you, World Vegetarian Day is a good day to try a vegetarian diet. You
might just be surprised at how good it tastes, too.
Here are 25 vegetarian recipes from one of my favs, Cooking Light (believe
it or not, that is a vegetable meatloaf!)

Welcome, October!
TBT- The year Oakland hosted the All-Star Game, Mark shared his family tickets with Eric so we could come as a family. When Mark was named to the team, I don't know how he handled tickets for his family- but they were all there, too.
I'm one who purchased an Egg-tastic (at Target) because of your recommendations! Love it also. But I didn't get recipes :( Would love to get them. My email is trybeadingit2@aol.com. And thank you, Sue
That is cool about going to the All Star game L!! xo
Janet, will send off those two pages asap. xo
You meatless meatloaf photo didn't come thru. It's just an empty square.
While on a cruise we sat at a table with four people who were vegetarians. (One couple OWNED a cattle ranch! HA) I actually felt sorry for them when the rest of us were eating amazing meats and on the night we had steak and lobster, especially! What a dull existence.
I do know that if one is a vegetarian they have to be careful to get enough protein and other vitamins in their diet.
Sam Yorty used to irritate me so much! One would think as the mayor of a city that he could pronounce the name of that city! Dumb Dem!!

Thanks T, yes I noticed I forgot to put the picture in before I got your comment. It's there now.
I could not be a Vegetarian. I love fish and chicken and an occasional BEEEEG thick steak!!! Yes, just veggies and fruit sounds boring! xo
