Gettin' ready for Halloween.. the Bruise is practicing...

Scrambled Egg-Tastic eggs with tiny diced tomatoes and chives, cottage
cheese with Bacon Salt (http://www.jdfoods.net/), tomato chunks, all
on fresh baby spinach with drops of Costco's Creamy Garlic Sauce:
So, yesterday recreational marijuana went on sale for anyone over 21 in
Oregon. Joy. Here is what you need to know:
The horror of the shooting at Umpqua Community College yesterday was on
everyone's mind all day. Today they said the Army vet who charged the gunman had
about 7 wounds and is in surgery. He will survive but may not be able to walk.
Yesterday was the vet's son's birthday. My heart is breaking for all those
parents and for the students who lost friends. Donations are being collected to
help those who need it. Will get the info and post.
If anyone is interested in buying a trailer, my friends PJ and Dave have a nice one for sale.. The truck is also for sale, either together with trailer or the trailer has to be sold first.
Yesterday was bill paying day. Joy. Also more laundry.

I LOVE Simon's cat.... this one made me laugh and laugh...It
is sooooo Bruiser. Trying to get him in a cat box for a trip to the vets...
almost impossible!!
Later the cooking mood hit me... a piece of salmon, veggies,
and corn on the cob.
I brought a pot of water with about 1/4-1/3
cup vinegar in it. Took off the heat and added the corn cob and let sit. Then I
added olive oil and butter to a pan to sauté the salmon........ the same with
the veggies...
While they were cooking I mixed some mayonnaise with lemon juice to slather
on the corn..
While I was cooking, the Bruise was 'lounging' in my slippers in the living
room.....
Everything cooked and veggies set atop some fresh baby spinach:
And..... Thursday Night Football, overtime...
All I know. Nuff said. Happy TGIF. Ciao.

Name Your Car Day is today.
Does your car have a name? Lots of people name their cars. People with big
boats, name their boat, and we think nothing of it. So, why not name your car or
truck!?
Every car has character and personality. We spend a lot of time in our
cars, and caring for them. So, its only fitting that each car gets its own
name.
Selecting a name should be made with care and consideration. Give your car
a name that properly reflects its character. What you name you car should be a
proper reflection of its character and performance, and your desires for your
car. In general, guys names are for guys' cars, and girl names are for the cars
that you ladies drive. Aside from that, selection of a name is wide open. But,
be careful....cars have feelings, too.
Here are some of our thoughts in selecting an appropriate name for your
car:
Don't select wimpy names. That might give your car a personality complex
and it will perform accordingly.
Do give a strong, aggressive name to sports cars and cars with powerful
engines.
Sleek, sexy feline-like cars savor names that begin with "lady".
Old junkers are proud just to be around. You can call them just about
anything. Try "Tramp", or "Old Yeller", "Old Blue".
Pick names to reflect your personality.
"Pickemup" trucks must have country names.
Don't give common names (like Joe, Mike or Sue) to luxury cars. They beam
over names like Reginald, Archibald, and Crystal.
Hmmmmm, I think I like Brutus for mine!

Good morning. If these shooters are motivated by fame- I'm glad the request not to publicize killer's name seems to be a trend in news. The only sure result of such events is to remember to kiss your loved ones good bye. Take no chances your last words to each other could be just that: your last words.
Thank you for using colored plates to serve food in. White can be so institutional. Food should be that other I word- inspired.
Brutus is indeed a good name for your vehicle.
I never named my Towncar but I did name my built in GPS. She is "Angel" because she watches over me and gets me to where I need to go. If I don't know where I'm going I print out Mapquest for a backup.
Back in the beginning of my high school days the guys had names for their cars printed on the side. My first boyfriend with a car had a blue Chevy Belair and the name on the side was "Splish Splash". Cute!
My heart breaks for those families of the murdered kids. I don't know the answer to this kind of violence but it's for damn sure we don't need MORE gun laws! They don't enforcer the ones already on the books!
Funny cartoon kitty!
