Good 56º cloudy got some drizzles last night, as the grass is wet...
Yesterday started out with just a slight feeling of getting a cold. Some
sneezing and coughing. It increasingly got worse. The coughing and sneezing
became monumental! Then the chills started in. No fever though. Next, stomach
started hurting. Had that famous Mexican thingy.... Monty's Revenge! Was
miserable. Took my Sunrider herb drinks, Zicam, Ibuprofen, ate about 1/2 cup
plain yogurt, and drank a cup of warm low sodium chicken stock. Mostly sat in my
chair all day. Am feeling better today, but will take another 'day off' and
rest. Took Zyrtec before bed and slept pretty well. Was to meet up with the "girls" (Dee, Kathy, & Jeannie) for a glass of
wine this afternoon, but still don't know what I have or if contagious. Another
day ladies....
The Dude and the Bruise stayed close...
About 2pm yesterday I saw what I thought was a turkey vulture flying by. Got my camera and sure enough............
Of course he was pretty much gone by the time I took a couple pictures and didn't even know I had captured him... can just barely see him in this pano...

Historically this date...
1536 – Anne
Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII of
England, is beheaded for adultery,treason,
and incest.
1921 – The U.S.
Congress passes
the Emergency
Quota Act establishing
national quotas on immigration.
......how
much good does that do? we're still giving perks, social security, and tax
relief to illegals! Grrrrrrrrrrrr
1950 – A barge containing munitions destined
for Pakistan explodes in the harbor
atSouth Amboy,
New Jersey, devastating the city.
1962 – A birthday salute to U.S. President John F.
Kennedy takes place

****
One of the law's provisions was that persons traveling from one place to another
cannot be incarcerated for a firearms
offense in a state
that has strict gun control laws if the traveler is just passing through (short
stops for food and gas) and the firearms and ammunition are
not immediately accessible, unloaded and, in the case of a vehicle without a
compartment separate from the driver’s compartment, in a locked
container.
An example of this would be that someone driving from Virginia to a competition inVermont with a locked hard case containing an unloaded handgun and a box ofammunition in the trunk could not be prosecuted in New Jersey or New York City for illegal possession of a handgun provided that they did not stop in New Jersey or New York for an extended period of time.
However Washington D.C., New York, New Jersey, and several other states routinely ignore this provision; arresting, prosecuting, and imprisoning travelers who are complying with this federal law

What a bummer to be sick and miss a meeting with the girls for a glass of wine.
I do hope you are much better today. Isn't it amazing how pets can "feel" when something isn't right with their "Mom" and stay so close.
Feel better soon!!
XO Trisha
Thanks T. I am feeling better, but still taking it slow. xo
