Yesterday I pulled some weeds and the back started screamin' so I came in and cleaned out a kitchen cupboard. Got rid of stuff that had been in there wayyyyy too long. Also, since I don't use coffee beans anymore I found the perfect person to give them to... Leah! I gave her my bean grinder a couple months ago.

This is a quick and easy casserole dinner...
Baked Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo
Baked Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo
24 oz fettuccine pasta
2 T olive oil
2# uncooked chicken breast cut into chunks
1 bag frozen peas (or if you don't like peas, use green beans... or whatever!)
2 (16 oz) jars Alfredo sauce
2 c mozzarella cheese, shredded
salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 350º. Cook pasta. Drain and return to pot. In skillet heat olive oil, add chicken, season with salt and pepper. Cook 7-8 minutes until chicken is no longer pink in center. Add chicken to pasta, add peas, mix with remaining ingredients. Pour into ungreased 13x9 baking dish. Spread evenly  and bake 18-20 minutes until cheese has melted.
(For me, I cut this recipe in half and use a 9x9 pan.)

The butter PJ brought over that Patty gave me is Amish Roll Butter. It's made in Wisconsin by Alcan Creamery
It's good and tastes 'lighter' than regular butter....

Patty got it at Food 4 Less, but I saw where Albertson's (Haggan) is selling it and also Amazon.

I hate it that my favorite TV shows are going on summer hiatus (Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Blue Bloods)... Now it's reruns and reruns. Boring..................... Hope there are some good Hallmark movies. Tried to watch one last night... 'They Way You Are' with Candace Cameron (sister of Kirk). BORRRRRING...................................... Turned it off after the first 15 minutes. Watched Cops.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy TGIF. Ciao.

May 15th
Peace Officer's Memorial Day

Police Officer's Memorial Day honors and remembers police officers who gave their lives while on duty.
Police officers protect us 24/7 every day of the year. It's a sometimes dangerous job. They know they are putting their lives at risk to make and keep us safe. Police officers know the risks, and accept them. Sometimes, they pay the ultimate price.
Please show our respect and appreciation for police officers everywhere...today....and everyday.
Ways to participate in this day:
  • Show appreciation for police officers.
  • Make a donation to a police officer fund or memorial
  • Participate in activities honoring officers who have died on duty.
  •  Better still, create a memorial event, if there isn't one in your area.
  • Thank your police officers for a job well done.

Origin of Police Officer's Memorial Day:
Police Officer's Memorial Day was created and established as May 15th by an Act of Congress.

God bless our first responders- first to respond when we drive a bit too fast, forget to click on the seat belt- and the really awful things which are easier to appreciate.

YES, MAY GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR POLICE!
A few years ago John and I were in Sacramento on this day. We stood in the State Capitol bldg and watched the huge parade of motorcycle cops come cross the bridge for the ceremony. Our then Assemblyman Bob Huff introduced us on the floor of the Assembly. Every bill that was brought to the floor was passed that day because they were all in a hurry to get out to the ceremony. :)

Of course we ran into a few guys from LASD there and at the airport.

I have reposted some of your pics to my FB page. Thank you!

XO Trisha

By Presidential Proclamation, it is ordered that all US Flags shall be flow at half staff/mast on every May 15th to honor Police Officer's Memorial Day. Mine was up super early and lowered to half staff. So great to see Greta (on Fox News) broadcasting the Candle Light Vigil from the National Memorial in WA DC Wednesday night to honor those who have fallen.
Raul Gama was a good cop and a great human being. We are all grieved by his death. I think of him often and was so happy to see his picture from your post.
Thank you again for posting and honoring all the fallen officers. It's always good to be in the company of like minded friends.
Also.. re: the Amish Butter, we've had this at our local grocery store for about 2 years. I buy it and it is sweet, light and much better quality that the major named brands. Yummo.!!
"BE" a great day my friend.
