(also from Trish.... SO TRUE!!!!!)

Yesterday I put water in the batteries of the golf cart. Duh, forgot to do that for too long. It tried to run, but wouldn't and I couldn't push it to the carport where I can hook up the charger.

Then I got out the riding lawnmower and started on the front lawn... after most of it was done the mower took a dump. Something happened to the blades and they bound up. Smoke coming out from there.

I had seen Larry from the Rogue River Rentals/Repair mowing PJ and Dave's grass so I went down there and told him about the problem with my mower. Later Larry and Tim came by to get my lawnmower and take it back to his shop. Needed a yearly check up anyway and blades sharpened. While here they helped push the golf cart to the carport for me where I hooked up the charger.

PJ and Dave are back from their 4 month Desert Odyssey... Quartzsite Az and came by for a quick visit and glass of wine. Dave loaded the .17 cal rifle (made by Jerry) and was outside on the lookout for ground squirrels on the pasture tree stump. None sat still long enough!

Dinner was a partial repeat of the roasted broccoli and cauliflower and chicken..... this was that with the broccoli/cauliflower/tomatoes/mushrooms/chicken....

I mixed the leftovers from this with some Anellini I had cooked with lots of Lawry's Garlic Salt in the water.. saving the water after draining...

I re-hydrated some of my dried veggies .. green beans, leeks, carrots, jalapeños, and celery with the garlicky salted water from the pasta...

Then I mixed them with a jar of Ragú Roasted Garlic Parmesan Cheese Sauce...

All this mixed together and into a pan on low on the stove to heat.....
OMGOOOOOD!!!! Gonna have some for breakfast!!!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.

April 18th
Animal Crackers Day

ANIMAL CRACKERS or ANIMAL
COOKIES

The type of animal crackers that we know today date to 19th-century England. They were first imported; in the latter part of the century they were manufactured domestically. “Zoologicals” made by local baker Walter G. Wilson were sold at the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia. Two New York companies, Herfield & Ducker (in Brooklyn) and Vandeveer & Holmes Biscuit Company in Manhattan, manufactured them year-round. Both companies were ultimately acquired by the New York Biscuit Company, which then became part of the National Biscuit Company (known today as Nabisco).
  Barnum's Crackers
A childhood favorite, the box was originally designed to hang on the Christmas tree. Photo courtesy Nabisco.
In 1902, the product was repackaged as Barnum’s Animals Crackers (the “s” on animals was later dropped) and placed into the current circus cage box for the Christmas season. A string was attached so the box could be hung from the Christmas tree. Several other companies, including Keebler, make animal crackers today. They can be found in chocolate-covered versions as well.

AWWWWW is right. Thanks for posting Isabella and Ian. Such sweet photos. We will go see them today. He will be a week old tomorrow and we haven't seen him since he was born.

Good bumper sticker too. Glad you posted it. I simply cannot envision Hil liar y as our president. She and her old man are crooks!

I always tell myself I am going to buy some of those dehydrated veggies but always forget. So handy! Love white sauce so much better than red!

Glad you are getting your machines charged and fixed. Always something, huh?
