Here is the Valentine Sami made me..
Yesterday after stuffing myself like a PIG at Tap Rock I went
by Safeway. They have fresh asparagus for $1.46!!! I should have bought more.
Maybe today or tomorrow. Normally it's about $4-5. This is great. I love it.
After getting the blog out and the Smilebox made I took Dude
for a run
to the trash can and put it on the road. Then to PJ and Dave's
to take water out of their fish pond. It was full to the tippy top. Came back
and the "boys" were showing off for each other back in the trees..... LOL. Not a
hen in sight!

eat) and had a fire and watched TV.... the Bruise enjoyed the fire

National Almond Day
Spicy Roasted Almonds
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
2 tablespoons Worcestershire
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 cups whole almonds
Coarse salt to taste
Melt the butter slowly in a medium-size saucepan and stir in the spices. Add the Worcestershire sauce and the nuts. Stir until the almonds are well-coated with the butter mixture.
Turn the nuts out onto a shallow baking sheet (no need to grease it) and roast the nuts in a preheated 350° oven for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Transfer to a serving bowl and toss with coarse salt.
Serve warm, or if you prefer, cool the nuts and store them in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks. Makes 3 cups.

I enjoyed reading about Sunny Bono. I was was so amazed when he ran as a Republican for congress and won. He was such a good man and it was heart breaking when he was killed. I have met Mary Bono and was so surprised when she lost her election in 2012. She is a FB friend of mine and has a darling little grandson. She sounds like me when talking about him and posting photos. Just a couple of weeks ago she got a new grand daughter and she is over the moon!
Now, I am curious why you took water from PJ's fish pond?

Interesting about Mary Bono. As for the pond, it was full to overflowing from all the rain we have had. It needed to be lowered. Safer for the fish. xo
Mary Bono took Sunny's House seat when he was killed. After that she was elected seven times on her own. It was in 2012 that she was defeated. I do believe her area, Palm Springs, has gotten totally liberal now and wasn't about to re elect her because she is a "R".
She and Connie Mack, Congressman from Florida, married a few years back. The marriage sadly didn't work. I think it was because they both wanted to be in their own home states. I could be wrong but that's what it appears to me.
