Good 57º sunny afternoon.
When I got up it was 44º , and of course, foggy.
I cut that Cranberry Walnut bread I got from Costco and had it
with my coffee. Sprayed a little Can't Believe It's Not Butter on each slice.
YUMMMMMMM!!!
Yesterday I went to Brian and Jen's for Brian's birthday
celebration dinner. I took his fav, deviled eggs.. Jen made a filet mignon
roast, fried rice (carrots, edamame, egg) and an orange sauce that Brian loves.
A favorite restaurant of ours and where Brian fell in love with orange sauce is
Shogun in Pasadena ( http://www.restaurantshogun.com/pasadena.php )
It's really their 'fish or shrimp sauce' but it's orange in color and so good!
She makes it with garlic, ketchup, mayonnaise, horseradish, and a bunch of other
stuff. Maybe she will part with the recipe! I'll ask.
Jen also cooked fresh asparagus and had a ginormous bowl of fresh fruit
(strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries)
Friend Dan Johnson and his Dana and Troy joined us. Sadly Jessica was home
and very sick. Hope you are better SOON Jessica!
Then today we met at Tap Rock to celebrate again. I told B I'd take him out
to dinner, but he said the kids like Tap Rock's Sunday brunch buffet the best.. Jen's mom Jean and my
friend Jennifer Murphy joined us... Here is a Smilebox of the two events:
