Then... there is this guy with the crooked nose and NEEDS plastic surgery! He certainly can afford Hollywood's finest surgeons!

Looks like a little romance was going on up in my pasture yesterday...

also............. the turkeys were out and about.....

Dinner was the leftover salad and I made some "hmmm...what's in the fridge biscuits". Using refrigerated Grands and some bacon crumbles, mozzarella cheese, 3 cheese blend, some garlic, and mayonnaise. Roll out the rolls, spread on mayo, add the bacon/cheese/& garlic, roll up pinching all seams, bake in 350º for about 19 minutes.

YUMMMMMMM!!!!!

So, while watching TV in front of a snuggy fire
the Bruiser gets comfy in my slippers...

I LOVE Leek and Potato Soup. It's traditionally served very cold, but I like mine hot! This is the recipe Jerry and I used forever...

It's in the "joy OF COOKING". My book was given to me in 1964 and has many many pages in it that have that particular recipe ingredients all over them!

In my opinion, the BEST cookbook there is!

Mince the white part of 3 medium leeks and 1 medium onion.
Stir and sauté them for 3 minutes in 2 T. butter.

Peel and slice very fine and add 4 medium potatoes (I like Yukon Gold) and 4 cups chicken stock. Simmer covered for 15 minutes, or until tender. Put them through a blender in small batches. Add 1-2 cups of heavy cream or half & half (use fat free if that works for you), salt and white pepper (or black) and stir in some snipped fresh chives (or scallions). I heat mine though or put in refrigerator to chill. A good addition is chopped crispy fried bacon.

Good morning,

Great shots of the coyote in your pasture!
Those biscuits looked so good! I could make a meal out of eating all of them. You only had one?? I would not have that control. I will try those!
Good going on your fire too. It was roaring big time and the Bruise looks so comfy cozy in your slipper, but since you are not able to wear your slippers because of the Bruise, put some socks on. Your feet are getting cold. LOL
Have a wonderful day and back I go to read history.
Chat later. xo

Thanks BFF! Those coyotes made me smile. It was like..."hey, you over there... wanna date?" She complied! LOL. I think I only ate one was because I was taste testing too many things... cheese, bacon, etc. OINK. xo

My goodness- a lot of bad things happened on this date in history.

I like the cover on your Joy of Cooking. If someone were to cook for you and had no hint of what you liked- the cover tells it is MOST loved.

When it comes to plastic surgery- I am an agnostic. Not a priority- but if there was spare cash- I might dabble a bit.
