Good 52º gonna be triple digits today morning. UGH. Watering early as we speak.

Yesterday started out clear and pretty.. Trees are changing..

Turkeys appear pretty stupid most of the time, but these boys were staying in the shade!

Today is a very special birthday in our family... Mr. Tucker is 10 years old! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TUCKER. I love you!!! ♥

Today is also Jerry's former radio car partner's birthday... and our Best Man ... Steve Voors (LASD ret). HAPPY BIRTHDAY 10-30 DUDE! xoxo

(for you non-law enforcement folks, "10-30" is a radio code for 'Does not conform to regulations'.. Jerry's nickname for Steve!! LOL)

Tucker and Steve both have the same middle name, Scott. So Steve is SSV (which sounds like a fast car or jet)

Another coincidence .... Jerry hired on LASD in 1967, Kristen's birth year, and retired in 1996, her daughter Alex's birth year!

1973 – Billie Jean King beats Bobby Riggs in The Battle of the Sexes tennis match at theHouston Astrodome in Houston, Texas.

Riggs was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1988. He founded the Bobby Riggs Tennis Museum Foundation to increase awareness of the disease. Riggs died of cancer October 25, 1995, in Encinitas, California, aged 77.

In his final days, Riggs maintained friendly contact with Billie Jean King, and King phoned him often. She called him shortly before his death, offering to visit him, but he did not want her to see him in his condition. Yesterday I canned the green tomatoes. In the jar goes tomatoes, jalapeño, and lots of garlic!
