dummy!)
Today is a very special birthday in our family... Mr. Tucker
is 10 years old! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TUCKER. I love you!!! ♥
♥♥♥ From his birth in 2004 till 5th
grade, 2014...
Brand new... 1st birthday ... riding
the Masonic Float with Dad Boatnik 2006 ... 4th birthday ... 5th birthday...
6th and playing Wii
6th Star Wars birthday .... 7th

First day of 4th grade 2013....9 years
old...
Taken 18 days earlier on my birthday. ♥
Today is also Jerry's former radio car partner's
birthday... and our Best Man ... Steve Voors (LASD ret). HAPPY BIRTHDAY 10-30
DUDE! xoxo
(for you non-law enforcement folks, "10-30" is a radio code for 'Does not
conform to regulations'.. Jerry's nickname for Steve!! LOL)
Barbara and Steve at the Laughlin Reunion a couple of years ago...
And Steve and Jerry at Jerry's retirement in 1996:
Tucker and Steve both have the same middle name, Scott. So Steve is SSV
(which sounds like a fast car or jet)
SSV may refer
to:
- SSV, an acronym for Sailing School Vessel, a type of Tall ship.
- SSV (band), a German techno music group
- Soviet command ship SSV-33
- Special Service Vehicles (SSVs), police vehicles in the U.S. and Canada
- Society for the Suppression of Vice
- Small saphenous vein
- SSV (game architecture), arcade architecture named after its developers SETA Corporation, Sammy Corporation, and Visco Corporation
And Tucker is TSP (As his Aunt Kristen calls him, "my little teaspoon"!)
So many meanings for this acronym... science, food, government,
music:
Another coincidence .... Jerry hired on LASD in 1967, Kristen's birth year,
and retired in 1996, her daughter Alex's birth year!
This is an amazing friendship....
Make you think of an old movie????

Yesterday I canned the green tomatoes. In the jar goes
tomatoes, jalapeño, and lots of garlic!
The process is easy and no water-bath. Will fill you in
on that tomorrow or the next day.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.

Oktoberfest Begins

Great blog, today. How wonderful it would be if our last words to others was "I love you."
It is time for some German Music in honor of Oktoberfest. Think I'll look for some umm-pah-pah or play Beethoven- or Martin Luther.
Fab photo of those green tomatoes! Happy Birthday to Tucker, what a handsome boy! GloW
I have always thought Tucker was one of the prettiest babies/little boys I had ever seen. I would LOVE to have his eye lashes! :)
I am sure many have said that Steve and Jerry could have been brothers! I have seen twins who don't look as much alike as those two! John knew Steve also.
I get so sad every time I think of Ricky Nelson being gone. I was crushed when he passed and couldn't believe it for years.
Yes, great blog today!
