Good 59º very cloudy morning.
Yesterday was nutz with a cloud cover coming in, then in the distance some
thunder and it got a little closer and then the RAIN and HAIL!!!!! This was
almost 5pm.... it lasted a whole 10 minutes or so and we got 1/4"!
The wind was blowing like crazy and all over my windows...
It stopped and Bruiser wanted to go out..
Then it started again, but didn't last and we only got about 1/8" that time. WOW, everything is still wet out there. Nice! Predictions for more precip later this afternoon. Hope so! This will also help the firefighters.
This guy is AMAZING. A former Marine turned "Smoothini" ...
Thanks to one of our MCL guys, Loren Otto, for sharing this with me... and now
sharing it with you...
Speaking of military folks.... for those of you who are
Oregonads a project has been started by a group called Southern Oregon Veterans
Benefit. They have the backing of my friend, Medford State Representative Sal
Esquivel, and they want to build a Viet Nam Veteran's Memorial Wall. I have sent
in a donation. I saw the traveling wall when it was in Temple City a number of
years ago. A lot of folks can't go to Washington DC to see the wall, so building
one here is a fabulous idea! If you are interested in making a donation go to www.sobv.org and you
can read all about it.

I've learned that there are people who love you dearly but just don't know
how to show it. (So true!)

I've learned that you can make someone's day by simply sending them a little note.
Age 44
I've learned that the greater a person's sense of guilt, the greater his or her need to cast blame on others. (Ya think Obummer feels guilt? LOL)

I've learned that children and grandparents are natural allies.

I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on and it will be better tomorrow. (True, it does go on.....)

I've learned that you can tell a lot about a man by the way he handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage and tangled Christmas tree lights.
Age 51
I've learned that keeping a vegetable garden is worth a medicine cabinet full of pills. (Unless you have a bad back and bending over isn't the most fun!)
Age 52
I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you miss them terribly after they die. (AMEN, sooooo true!)
Age 53
I've learned that making a living is not the same thing as making a life. (Personally, I feel it's being true to yourself and enjoying what you like best and not doing anything you hate!)

July 23rd
National Hot Dog Day
This is making me drool!!! The Jo Co Fair is next month... I'm goin' and
gettin' a hot dog on a stick!
National
Hot Dog Day celebrates one of
America's favorite summer sandwiches. It is only fitting that this dog gets its
day.
Its
summertime. Hot dogs are center stage on the grill, and at picnics all across
America. They are at the ballpark. They are sold from carts on street corners in
every city. It's not hard to find them. We consume hundreds of millions of hot
dogs on the Fourth of July alone.
Enjoy National Hot Dog Day to the fullest. Have a couple of hot dogs
for lunch or dinner. And, don't forget to cook a few on a stick at the evening
campfire.
What's
in a hot dog? Don't' ask, and we
won't tell. Sometimes, its best if you don't
know.

mmmm I have hot dogs on a stick in my freezer. I'll have to have some today! :)
I am still blown away by Smoothini! That was the most amazing thing I have every seen! I watched AGT last night and it happened to be magician night but nothing compared to this guy! Best of all he is a Marine!! Once a Marine, always a Marine, right?
Loved the rain and hail. At times tho it's a little scary because it hits so hard. Glad it didn't break any windows!
XO Trisha
Glad you enjoyed the magic tricks! I sure did too.
I LOVE rain. That is why Jerry and I moved here. Makes me happy. Just started again about a half hour ago. Yippeeeee...... put out those forest fires!!! xo
