Good 43º cold and clear morning. What a difference. I even
pulled up the blanket this morning!
Wow, the rain started again about 9am yesterday. We got
another 1/4" in an hour. Sprinkled mostly. This was 7am:
..... and this was a little after 9am...
The poor dumb turkeys were standing out in the rain looking
forlorn.

I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.
Age 62
I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back. (Yes, the BS should be thrown back!)
Age 64
I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you. But if you focus on your family, the needs of others, your work, meeting new people, and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you. (I couldn't agree more!)Age 65
I've learned that whenever I decide something with kindness, I usually make the right decision.
Age 66
I've learned that everyone can use a prayer.
Age 72
I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one. (Used to be when you were with a bunch of middle aged women all they talked about was their experiences with childbirth and the pain and the long hours of labor .... then as we got older the topic is arthritis, kidney stones, aches and pains, etc.... It never ends!)Age 82
I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love that human touch - holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back. (Who is this, a dirty old man??? LOL)
Age 90
I've learned that I still have a lot to learn. (Oh yes!)

I was having a problem (sensitivity to hot and cold) on
my crown I had put on recently (no, not that kind!) so went to the dentist
yesterday.
We have a new dentist, Susan Wellman, really nice! She took
xrays and thoroughly examined the tooth area and said there is evidence of an
infection. She referred me to a "root canal specialist, and gave me a
prescription for antibiotics.
Afterwards headed to the Elk's Lodge
for a glass of wine with GloW and John. Nice time! I had
stopped by the Kitchen Company store on the way there
at Jennifer's request, as she had some of
her homemade minestrone she wanted me to try. OMGOOOOOOD. Such GREAT soup
Jennifer! Thank you so much! Home, soup, chair, and one of my favorite new
shows, Taxi Brooklyn

STOP THE
PRESSES!!!
Baby is a boy cat! Don't
ask, but confirmed by me, a mother and grandmother, he has the necessary stuff
to call him a boy! I'm still keeping his name as Baby. Since he's black and
white I could call him Radio Car or Cruiser (Crew-za if we were in New Jersey!)
Maybe I'll call him Baby Cruiser. or Bruiser! LOL
Bill, of Bill and Jeannie fame, decided to infuse some tequila
with pineapple and jalapeño peppers. Jeannie said it was really tasty. So, I
decided, since I had purchased some fresh pineapple, to infuse some vodka with
the pineapple. Then I added in some cherries! So far, it's good. Give it a few
more days!

July 24th
National
Tequila Day
YES!
.•*¨*•♫♪
Well, it's Sunday
mornin',
And the sun is shinin' in
my
Eye that is
open,
And my head is
spinnin',
Was the life of the
party,
I can't stop
grinnin',
I had too much tequila last
night.
.•*¨*•♫♪
(Chorus:)
José Cuervo you are a friend of
mine.
I like to drink
you
with a little salt and
lime.
Did I kiss all the
cowboys?
Did I shoot out the
lights?
Did I dance on the
bar?
Did I start any
fights?
.•*¨*•♫♪
(Chorus:)
Now wait a
minute,
Things don't look too
familiar.
Who is the cowboy who's sleepin' beside
me?
Well, he's awfully
cute,
But how'd I get his shirt
on?
I had too much tequila last
night.
.•*¨*•♫♪
(Chorus)
All those little
shooters,
How I love to drink them
down.
Come on bartender, let's have another
round.
Well, the music is
playin',
And my spirits are
high.
Tomorrow might be
painful,
But tonight we're gonna
fly.
.•*¨*•♫♪
(Chorus)
José Curervo
You are a friend of
mine.
I like to drink you with a little salt
and lime.
Everytime we get
together,
I sure have a good
time.
You're my friend, you're the
best...
Mí Amigo....
.•*¨*•♫♪
(Chorus)
José Cuervo, you are a friend of
mine!
