Good 35º morning.
Yesterday morning 8am....
Yesterday afternoon 4pm.....
I am very concerned about my high school pal Greg and
his wife Becky Lundell. They recently moved from So. Cal to Illinois. I saw the
destruction on the news last night from the tornados back there. Have sent him
an email to ask if they are OK, but no response so far. They are about 30 miles
west of Chicago. Praying.....
Football scores....
...some disappointing scores here.... and some good ones
.... we'll see how tonight goes!
Dinner was veggie stirfry and ravioli with
Ricotta cheese...
Red and yellow mini peppers, green beans, mini squash,
and grape tomatoes..
See how the pot doesn't boil over with a wooden spoon
across the top!
OMGOOD!!!
Here's the WD-40 tip of the week:
*Lubricate sliding power saw guides
*Prevent dirt and dust on door and window
tracks
*Reduce friction and improve maneuverability on
drill bits
Another one of my kitchen cooking experiments
from Saturday was crescent rolls with pesto and roasted red peppers. I used my
homemade spinach pesto...
Spread the pesto on each crescent, add chopped
roasted peppers...
Roll up...
Bake per directions...
OMGAWD, they are good.
Addictive.....
Then I got to thinking... what if you spread a little
mayo on the crescent, added some chopped bacon, and a little of your favorite
cheese.... OR.... roast a head of garlic, squeeze it out of the skin, spread
some on each crescent along with maybe a little canned tuna or salmon... OR
sprinkle on a cinnamon and sugar mixture to go with your morning coffee! If you
do this... let me know how it turned out. I'm going to do more
experimenting...
Historically this date....
1926 – George
Bernard Shaw refuses to accept
the money for his Nobel
Prize, saying, "I can forgive Alfred
Nobel for inventing dynamite, but only a fiend
in human form could have invented the Nobel Prize".
..........gee, ya think someone in the White House shudda refused
too, because there was NO good reason for him to get it!
GAG.
1928 – Release of the
animated short Steamboat Willie, the first fully synchronized
sound cartoon, directed by
Walt
Disney and Ub
Iwerks, featuring the third appearances of cartoon characters
Mickey
Mouse and Minnie
Mouse. This is also considered by the Disney corporation to be Mickey's
birthday.
And
births this date include....
He's too weird for me! Mostly it's the way he talks like he's all
mushy.. and then there's that nose that looks like a male part!
Another special birthday today is Erika and Spence's baby Jake!
HAPPY 12th BIRTHDAY JAKE! Slurps from Dude, slaps from Bruiser, and hugs from
me!
Does anyone have a suggestion for a printer/scanner/fax that is
good? Mine is a couple years old and it's an HP and it's CRAP!!! I am so
disgusted with it.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday. Still enough full moon out
there ... be careful! Ciao.

I had an HP for awhile and switched to Epson a
few years ago. Still have the Epson 9400 fax/scanner/copier.
I would give it 5 stars.... it has never failed to perform well.

For those of you reading comments, the above "g" is my friend Greg in Illinois. He said they are ok. The storm was powerful but didn't do any damage where they are. Whew.....
Sorry you had trouble with the HP printer. My first one lasted close to 10 years- we now have 2. A full size and a part timer.
A number of folks have written me about CRAP HP printers.... everyone is recommending either Canon or Epson.
