Good 38º low lying foggy morning.
'10-27' ... "any return on number or subject?"
I DID IT!!!!! Whooooot whooooot whooooo!!!!! The
handle in my toilet broke and the flapper valve was not looking too good. So, I
went to Ace with the broken handle and Randy helped me pick out one that would
work and a new bright blue flapper valve. Without even reading instructions I
put on the new handle and valve and it WORKS!!!
I did find out that it flushed perfectly with the tank
lid off but wouldn't with the lid on. The chain was too long, so had to figure
out how to shorten it.... putting the hook through a link and then hooking it to
the handle arm. Yes!
Jeannie told me to take pictures. Not wanting to show
you the inner workings of my toilet, I found these online.
<g>
Martin and Leo were here for 5 hours yesterday cutting
out more growth and trimming the trees in the creek at the back of the house
and those next to my carport. The burn pile is
GIANT!
GIANT!
Dinner was stir-fry... I reconstituted some dried
mushrooms in wine and garlic powder, cut up onion, yellow bell pepper, and green
beans....
I par-cooked some broccoli. To a hot pan with olive oil
I added the veggies and sauteéd them.
Microwaved the noodles (instructions on package) and
added them in along with the fake crab and broccoli ... cooked through, added
the flavor packet and a cup of water and let it all heat through.
YUMMMMMMMMMY!!!
I found yesterday where I had put some of Bill and
Jeannie's hot peppers in the freezer, so I got them thawed, made a brine and
canned them along with some baby carrots.
Will make a fine hot martini!

National
Navy Day
Many nations around the world celebrate their navies
with a special day dedicated to them. Each country selects a date relevant to
their navy, often the birth date of the navy. In the United States, Navy Day is
commonly celebrated on October 27th. This date was selected as it was the birth
date of President Theodore Roosevelt, an avid supporter of the US Navy. On Navy
Day give some well deserved attention to your proud US Navy and to the sailors
who serve and who served our country. SALUTE!

Mummy stir fry look awesome. The price of crab here is so high, and the canned stinks.. Every time I buy the fake stuff I always end up eating it out of the package. Love the pics!
Kim, I do the same thing with the crab... so I buy two! xo
Oh my goodness! You did set my mouth to watering this morning with your stir fry! Love love those noodles!
Now, tell me, will you burn that pile yourself or have some one there to help? It scares me just thinking about it.
Thanks for posting my potato dish. That pic was before it was baked. Don't know why I didn't get a shot after it baked. As I said before, John tells me don't mess with the recipes. lol
XOXO Trisha
Don't worry Trish, fires scare the heqq out of me and I am overly cautious. The pile will be disassembled and a smaller one will be burned. Not all at once.xo
I am so honored you remembered Juadon. You are a national treasure. And good example of what a friend should be. Bless you.
