Good 54º cloudy damp morning. Last night
suddenly, and I do mean suddenly, the storm moved in. Lightening and lots of
THUNDER!! OMG. Scared even Dude! It also POURED. We got 3/4" of the stuff. There
are numerous wildfires in the area from the lightening.

From my pal Trish Bowler... a friend of hers
posted this on FB. Simple easy zucchini side dish...
Slice zucchini in half lengthwise. Take a slice
of the bottom to keep it stable. Brush with olive oil and top with garlic or
garlic powder. Top with sliced tomatoes, salt and pepper. Use mozzarella cheese,
parmesan cheese, or a blend. Bake 375º for 20-30 minutes, until soft.

THINGS I DID TO DESERVE THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE
By Barack Obama
Yesterday Rick came over and took a look at
the pastures. He'll be back on the 14th to brush-hog for me. Gave him a tour on
the golf cart.... Dude and Maggie jumped off when we were at the pond and ran
all the way back! Maggie was EXHAUSTED! Dude seemed happy to run. Then a little
later we took a ride down to the mailbox. On the way back Mr. Lizard, formerly
of "out in the yard" was sitting atop the post where the gate button is....
The news story of the three women and one little girl
who have been missing for 10 years is amazing! That saga will unravel and more
information will come out.
Dinner last night was :
Not in the mood to cook. Good soup!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.

National Teacher's Day
Everybody who does something good, important, and
valuable deserves a day in their honor. Teachers certainly are among the more
deserving. This day honors those hard working, patient and understanding people
whom we entrust our children to. Teachers mold our kids in a positive direction,
and affect who they are and who they become. From Kindergarten through college,
teachers are an important part of our children's lives.

Now I know who to make a bouquet for- a teacher friend. I so admire women who made the choice to offer their lives to the classroom and the children whose lives they touch.
Great idea, L !
Thanks for posting the zuchini recipe. Oh my it looks so good! Now to remember to buy some!
I have always truly appreciated teachers and the job they do. I especially admire the special ed teachers. Listening to Debbie I know they go above and beyond for their students.
Have a good one and stay dry!
