Good 34º ice on the barn roof morning. Clear. Supposed to stay
rain free for the Boatnik Parade today. Fingers crossed. When I got up about
5:45 the moon was just heading southwest behind my mountain...
Today is a special birthday... Suzanne Santisteven. She was a Deputy at
Lakewood when I worked there. She married Phil, a Deputy also at Lakewood, had a
baby girl, Alyssa, and quit the department to be a mom. Phil just retired and
they are moving to a small ranch in Idaho. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUZ!!!!!
Dude, let me fix that loose strand! YIKES!
Yesterday's video of the children eating werid foods was fun,
this one is too.... can you put a kid in a room alone with a marshmallow and
think he/she won't eat it???? LOL These kids are a riot!
Historically this date...
1955 – In the United States, a
night time F5 tornado strikes the small city
of Udall, Kansas, killing 80
and injuring 273. It is the deadliest tornado to ever occur in the state and the
23rd deadliest in the U.S.
1961 – Apollo program: U.S.
President John F. Kennedy
announces before a special joint session of the Congress his goal
to initiate a project to put a "man on the Moon" before the end of the
decade.
I think we must have gone to the drive-in 10 times to see it. Jerry was
so enamored with that movie!
And births this date include...
Out in the backyard yesterday.....
....and then later down by the barn...
Dinner was salad..... first I cooked some orzo pasta in salted water, cut
up iceberg lettuce, tomato, avocado, broke up some fake lobster (high in
calcium... Alaska Pollock, Pacific Whitefish, and some lobster added in... not
from Asia!), added some seasoning... sea salt with rosemary, garlic, and
pepper... Then made dressing from BF mayo, lemon juice, basil pesto, and grated
cheese. OMGOOOOOD!!!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao

LOL Love your wine pics! Too funny!! I'll drink to them!!
I cracked up at the kids and the marshmallows! The funniest was the first kid at the end cramming both in his mouth at once! Such patience! lol Notice the youngest one, the litte girl didn't even wait until the lady left the room. Maybe she didn't understand that she would get another one if she waited. Cute!
Your deer are incredible! They feel safe and secure on your property!
Have fun at the Boatnik today! Hope the rain stays away!!
Oh that salad looks wonderful!
