Boatnik Parade Smilebox ~ Greg Walden ~ Isabella ~ The Duke ~ Cherry Cobbler

 

Good 52º drizzly morning. Rained in the night... more on the way. Doesn't look too promising for the rest of the Boatnik celebration... the carnival, boat races, slow pitch games, eating contests....

Yesterday was the Boatnik Parade and the weather couldn't have been more perfect! I med Bill and Jeannie at the Elk's parking lot and we walked to the parade route.

Going back today to see the carnival stuff, be treated in the VIP Tent to free food and drink, compliments of Brian Pendleton State Farm!     Here  is a picture of John and Trish's Bowlers granddaughter  Isabella... what a doll baby! She even has a PINK car!   A very special birthday today.... Marion Michael Morrison - John Wayne May 26th 1907 -June 11, 1979 ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Wayne A very prominent Hollywood Republican! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUKE! When my Jerry was born his mother said his name will be John Wayne Maxwell. His dad said, "No way!" ...so he was named Jerry Wayne Maxwell! Also our good friend's brother was the Duke's personal photographer and Sid gave us several photographs! *****************************************   Historically this date.....
