81º ? ~ Golf Course Nuts ~ Olive Oil Infused w/ Rosemary ~ Frank & Evan ~ National Doctor's Day

Good 39º foggy morning.

Here is the weather predictions... I don't get it.... current temp is too high and it says "81º" high for today??????????????????? Whaaaaaa??

I received the following video from a few people. Apparently the only dummies we encounter are not just on the road or at Wal-Mart, but they are on the golf course! (Giggle, sure would love to see some of this s**t happen to BO!!!)

This from my buddy Dee.... <g>

Historically this date...

1981President Ronald Reagan is shot in the chest outside a Washington, D.C., hotel by John Hinckley, Jr. Another 2 people were wounded at the same time.

And births this date include....
1853Vincent van Gogh, Dutch painter (d. 1890)
.... a re-creation of his self-portrait....

1930John Astin, American actor

1937Warren Beatty, American actor and director

1968 – Celine Dion, Canadian singer

Yesterday I infused the olive oil with the fresh Rosemary...

Measure out the amount of oil you need by pouring it into the bottle you will be using to store it. Put into pan, heat to 170º. Take off heat. Break up about 5 sprigs of Rosemary and put in the warm oil. Let sit until room temp. Take out sprigs and pour oil into bottle with 1-2 fresh springs in it.....

I made two batches, the first one I put 1/8th teaspoon of lemon oil in the olive oil when it was still warm. The Rosemary has a very definite flavor and delicate. Can't wait to dip some fresh sourdough bread into it!!!

I did contact the guys at Woodville Rental in Rogue River. They are picking up my riding lawn mower today and getting it running for me. I need to mow!!!!

Yesterday my neighbor Frank and his grandson Evan took a ride up here. Such a beautiful day and Evan loves to go riding on grandpa's quad! (He smiled AFTER I took his picture!)

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.

Dr. Rachael is originally from Hollister, CA and moved to Cambridge, MA for college at Harvard University where she received a B.A. in biology. After college she lived in Boston, working in genetics research a the Brigham and Women's Hospital. She attended Tufts University for her Medical Training and completed her Residency in Family Practice in Main. She moved to Oregon in 2004 to be closer to her family. When not working she enjoys spending time with her daughter, running, exercising, hiking, knitting, and scrapbooking." I just LOVE her! She is awesome, smart, fun, and pretty. She is so caring and it comes across.

I had too many doctors over the years who were quite a bit older than I was, so it's refreshing to have a young one with more current knowledge! Besides, she's not going to DFO on me!! xo

The Idaho joke is the best kind. Makes a point without a lecture.

Ashamed to say I didn't appreciate Van Gough until I saw his work in Amersterdam.

The infused oil sounds delicious!

Sue,
When I studied History of Art at Parnell I was amazed that Van Gogh was insane. Maybe that helps to have a creative mind? He cut off his ear and sent it to a woman professing his love! Evidently it was after that picture or it was on the other side. :)

Loved the golfing video! LOL
Also a very nice bio on your doctor. I too have a young woman like her for my doc. She is blonde and so caring too. I can discuss anything with her and feel so comfortable doing so. It's like chatting with a girlfriend.

Hugs, Trisha

van Gogh's life was sad. Only selling one of his paintings in his lifetime. I'm sure he is smiling down on what their worth is today! xo
