Good 42º morning. Happy Labor Day.
I received so many nice emails and FB birthday wishes yesterday. What fun!
Thanks to all of you. A funny one... my old high school pal, Jim Harper, is
technically challenged! LOL. I got a notice that the card I sent him had been
picked up. HUH???? I clicked the link and sure enough it was an e birthday card
from me to him. HUH????? So, what happened was Jim put his email in instead of
mine and reversed our names so the card said Happy Birthday Harper! LOL. Still
laughing. Sorry Jim, ratted you out. Thanks for the apology call though and
wishes. xo
... And a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my friend, George Bachmeier, LASD ret. I hope
you have a wonderful day George!

Yesterday I went over to Brian and Jen's in the afternoon. Brian had the
tent trailer all set up so he and Tucker and Sami could "camp out" last night.
Tucker and Sami wanted to show me the trailer and then Tucker and I played a
game of Sorry out there. He won! Jen poured me a glass of wine and she had
cooked a great dinner! The marinated steaks I took over there were wonderful and
she made a spectacular birthday cake... chocolate and peanut butter! Sami
climbed on the dome, Tucker and Jen played cards, Brian and Tucker checked out
the fish pond, and Maggie did what she does best. Atlas was a love, as always!
Jean had given me a gift of a lovely red pitcher and it was wrapped in bubble
wrap. The kids wanted it to pop and I said it's a lot of fun to put it on the
ground and ride over it with your bicycle. They did just that and LOVED it!
Sounded like firecrackers going off. Pictures on the Smilebox...
When I got home last night, there on my front porch in a ice chest were 2
cartons of fresh shucked oysters!
Patty and Cliff had come back from the coast and left them for me! WOW!
Guess I'm havin' a Po'boy for dinner tonight!
Thank you guys!!!!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Labor Day. Ciao.
