Fawn ~ Pickled Peppers ~ Marinara ~ Hummer ~ José ~ Moon ~ Lobster ~ Lexi ~ Wine Season

Good 47º sunny morning. (FINALLY!)

I managed to get into the control panel and the Internet Security and played around with a couple of settings and
voilá everything is working again! Thanks April Lancaster for the heads up re Java script. The script was enabled, but I changed a couple other things and then unabled it and enabled it again. Rebooted and seems ok now! xo

OMG September is here already and Christmas is but 114 days from now. Geeeeeeeze.................. Best get to shopping!

September in the Southern Hemisphere is the seasonal equivalent of March in the Northern Hemisphere. In the Northern hemisphere, the beginning of the meteorological autumn is 1 September. In the Southern hemisphere, the beginning of the meteorological spring is 1 September.

A little fawn, I think it's the twin of the one killed on the road, was out and about all alone. She was eating some of the acorns that have dropped from the big oak tree.... pictures taken from inside the house so I didn't scare her......

I cooked up the tomatoes Donna gave me... and pickled the hot peppers Jeannie gave me yesterday..

A boiling mixture of vinegar, water, and salt is poured over the peppers and garlic and then a 10 minute water bath and they are ready for whatever..... gonna try a martini with the juice and a couple of pepper pieces after they sit for a week or so.

Six pounds of tomatoes, cooked with garlic and onion..

Put through food strainer that removes skin, add seasonings, and mushrooms. Will can this today.

This little guy was outside the window keeping an eye on me...

I sent my friend, Lydia, this picture....

Taken at a Fabergé Sales Meeting with José Eber 1985... Lydia's daughter-in-law Shannon works at the Eber Salon in BH.

" Sue- Shannon said Jose` was delighted over the photograph."

We sure had some fun times with Fabergé. So many trips that Jerry could join in with me.... Acapulco, Jamaica, Bahamas ..... nice spouses got to go along. Of course we, the employees, sat in meetings during the day and the spouses went on tours, etc. Since I was the only female in sales at that time, my husband was the only guy "spouse" and he being a Deputy made all the wives happy to have him for "protection". LOL.

My friend Charline (Gottesman) Allen, ret LASD, sent this over the top cute picture album and video of a rescued baby walrus. OMG!

Our moon last night...

And dinner last night was lobster tail....

Cut back open on shell, put lobster on top of the shell. Brush with clarified butter (melt and skim solids off top). Bake at 425 for 18 minutes. Perfect!

I served it with a quinoa/sprouted rice with mushrooms on a bed of baby spinach and some grape tomatoes. AWESOME!
