Good 50º morning. Slept under my down comforter last night. Nice!
I ordered and received the Montel Williams Health Master.
Nothing is wasted, like most juicers all the pulp goes into another part
and is thrown away. This one is so powerful it chops and liquefies everything so
you don't lose any benefits of the fruit or vegetables. It's awesome. I made my
first smoothie yesterday with the only things I had on hand.... carrots,
spinach, water, ice, and a little Agave.
OMG, I could drink this all day! Sooooo good and refreshing... and how many
calories??? 3 cups of spinach = 21 calories. 10 baby carrots = 4 calories per
carrot. Agave 1 T=60 calories. So, if made without the Agave = 61 calories.

I received this in an email passed on from George Bachmeier.... love the
sentiment.... ( I did leave out a few of the lines that didn't apply and the
punctuation was horrid, so I fixed that too! Also, I took the liberty of adding
my own perspective here and there, since this had no author listed.)
"As I've aged, I've become kinder to myself, and less critical of myself.
I've become my own friend. I have seen too many dear friends leave this world,
(including my Darling) too soon; before they understood the great freedom that
comes with aging.
Whose business is it if I choose to read, watch TV, or play on the
computer until 4am, or sleep until noon? I dance with myself to those wonderful
tunes of the 50's, 60's, and 70's (I do! Malt Shop Oldies on the TV!), and if I,
at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love, I will.
I know I am sometimes forgetful, but then again, some of life is just as
well forgotten. And, I eventually remember the important things. Sure, over the
years my heart has been broken. How can your heart not break when you lose a
loved one or when a child suffers or even when you lose a beloved pet? But,
broken hearts are what give us strength and understanding and compassion.
I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning gray
(white) and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into the deep grooves
in my face. So many have never laughed and so many have died before their hair
could turn silver.
As you get older it is easier to be positive (unless it's in regard to the
upcoming election!). You care less about what other people think. (!!) I don't
question myself anymore. I've even earned the right to be wrong.
So, the bottom line is that I like being old. It has set me free. I like
the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I'm still
here I will not waste time lamenting what could have been or worrying about what
will be (except for November!). Basically I will and am doing whatever I want!
