Good 47º (burrrrrr.....) morning. Shudda had on my winter jammies!!!
Supposed to be cooler (80º's) and possible rain and thunder for the next couple
days.
Trimmed a few grapevines yesterday, until the back said "enough!" Then the
rest of the excitement came from doing laundry!
'Baby' hangs out here all day and is waiting for me in the morning for
chow! Sorry, lousy picture, took it through the glass storm door... See, her
extra front toes.
...... and dinner! OMG that was just more over the top excitement than most
people could stand...
I watched a couple of good movies. First one, silly, "See Jane Date". A
single girl living in New York tries to impress her high school nemesis by
inventing the perfect boyfriend as her date to an impending wedding of her
snotty "I'm better than you because I have a man" cousin, then embarks on a
string of blind dates to fill the bill. Starring Charisma Carpenter, a real
cutie. (she was named after an Avon perfume!)
Then I watched Secretariat.
Penny Chenery Tweedy, played by one of my most favorites ... Diane Lane,
and colleagues guide her long-shot but precocious stallion, she calls Red, to
set, in 1973, the unbeaten record for winning the Triple Crown. It also stars
John Malkovich, who is weird weird and plays weirdos, but was surprisingly good
in this movie. Well, except for his wardrobe,
(salmon, gag) at least it
improved by the end of the movie! Good movie. I enjoyed it.
I love this...... turn up your sound!
I didn't know until yesterday that it was Ronnie Lancaster's birthday
7-15-45. Thanks for that, April. Ronnie worked Temple in the 70's and was a roommate to Jerry and Steve
Voors. Ronnie, you were a good friend and you are so very missed! Happy
Birthday. RIP.
