Good 47º foggy morning. Hmmmm... where did that stuff come from. Yesterday
started out drizzling (not happy since I was going to a parade) but it stopped
by the time the parade was passing by.

Yesterday was the Boatnik Parade in Grants Pass... my friends from the
Marine Corps League carried the flags...
And our State Representative in Salem, Dennis Richardson was there....
(waving to me and asking how I was!) After
spending his childhood in Los Angeles, California, Richardson volunteered for
the U.S. Army where he was a decorated helicopter pilot in Vietnam.
.... and then there was our local Channel 12 news anchor, Ron Brown.... HI
RON!
Bill and Jeannie and I anchored a corner of a building, under a cover and
stayed dry. Then after the parade to the American Legion Hall for a glass of wine. Nice
day.
My friend Modesto Tammy sent this... .hilarious!
Friends are like underwear ... some crawl up your ass ... some snap under
pressure ... some don't have the strength to hold you up ... some get a little
twisted ... some are your favorite ... some are cheap and just plain nasty ..
and some actually do cover your ass when you need them to.
A special birthday today... Andy Nantz.... dear friend and USMC pal of
Jerry's.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDY!
(like how I put this by the underwear, Andy ...)

Yesterday was fun! Thanks for being with us, and you got a great picture of Ron Brown.
Lots to comment on but we are out the door to head to Riverside Park shortly and just wanted to get a quick shout out to you. The mexican Lasagna everyone needs to try. Made it yesterday with a few adjustments, and it was delicious. Thanks. Definitely a keeper.
Can't wait to see the Smilebox. xo and we will chat later.
