I got an email with a "Mexican Lasagna" recipe so I compared it to mine...
Mine sounded better. It's a recipe I probably have already shared, but really,
you should try it. I got it from a lady on Catalina Island from one of the 4th
of July potlucks we attended....
1 pound ground beef
1 large can refried beans
1 large can refried beans
2 t. ground oregano 2 t. ground cumin
1 t. garlic powder 12 uncooked lasagna
noodles
2½ cups bottled salsa 2½ cups water
2 cups sour cream 1 cup diced onions
2 cups grated cheese (Colby-Monterey Jack combo or Mexican
blend)
2 cans sliced olives
3 green onions - chopped diced tomato
1. Combine uncooked ground beef with refried beans in large bowl. Add
oregano, cumin, and garlic powder. Mix well. (hands are best) Spray 13x9x2 pan
with cooking spray. Place uncooked noodles on bottom of pan ... four across
(overlap a little) and break the end off one and put sideways. Spread half the
meat mixture over the noodles. Top with more noodles and the remaining mixture.
Top with more noodles.
2. Combine the salsa and water, mix well, and pour over all. Cover with
foil and bake 350º for 1½ hours. Make sure to place pan on cookie sheet, as the
mixture always overflows!
3. Combine sour cream, onions, & olives. Spoon mixture over top of
casserole. Top with grated cheese. Sprinkle with green onions and diced tomato.
Bake uncovered until cheese melts.
Some recipes for this dish have tortillas in them and/or corn. This one is
best. Lots less work, since it all cooks together, instead of the meat
separately first.

(Week of 5/19/2012)
The President’s approval rating in the Economist/YouGov Poll remains
below 50%. Just 44% of Americans approve of how he is handling his job. 50%
disapprove.

Historically this date...
1783 – A Great Jubilee Day
held at North Stratford,
Connecticut celebrated end of fighting in American
Revolution.
1868 – The impeachment
trial of U.S. President Andrew Johnson ends with
Johnson being found not guilty by one vote.
1969 – Apollo program: Apollo 10 returns to Earth after a successful eight-day
test of all the components needed for the forthcoming first manned moon landing.
1983 – A strong 7.7 magnitude
earthquake strikes Japan, triggering a tsunami that kills at least 104

are destroyed.
1998 – The Supreme

gateway for millions of immigrants, is mainly in the state of New Jersey, not New York.
2004 – The United States Army
veteran Terry Nichols is found

And births this date include....
... another Hollyweird Republican! Apparently that pissed off Lady Bird Johnson because she loved Gunsmoke!

John Edwards knows better. That's the problem with him. He knows better and he doesn't care as long as he gets his way.
Will be glad when the trial is over so the narcissist can to off into the land he created- where no one cares. About him.
AMEN, L!!!
