Good morning. It's somewhat cloudy and 30º.
Last New Year's Day it snowed.
Two birthdays today.... Victoria Kraut, my friend Sandy's daughter-in-law, wife of Matthew, mother of Seveth and Anson.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY VICKY!!
and ..... today is my neighbor Frank's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRANK!!!
Love this...taking Lucy for a ride on the quad taking' the trash can to the road!
Last night was a "sit in my chair with wine and snacks" night. I got some good fat shrimp. Made a guacamole and a sweet/hot chili and mayo dip and had pita chips and whole grain chips and wine. Perfect. Even shared some shrimp with Harley Dude.
We watched a few movies. Nothing spectacular. Had the last conversation of the year with Kristen, Brian, Jeannie, Linda, and Patty. Got back to the NBCe feed of the ball drop at 9pm, our time, and missed it by 1 minute! Oh well. The entertainment from NY was so below par in my estimation. Don't like Lady Gaga. She makes me want to ......well, you know. We went to bed at 10. Heard gunshots at midnight.
Historically this date...
1902 – The first American college football bowl game, the Rose Bowl between Michigan and Stanford, is held in Pasadena.
1908 – For the first time, a ball is dropped in New York City's Times Square to signify the start of the New Year at midnight.
And births this date include....
"Love to eat them mousies. Mousies what I love to eat. Bite they little heads off, nibble on they tiny feet."
All I know. Football today. All day. Yippeeeeee.... Then a par-tay at PJ & Daves. She's cooking a ham. I'm bringing Asian Cabbage Slaw and some finger foods. Patty making her Cowboy Beans and potato salad.
Let's hope 2012 is a good year.

Happy New Year, I recorded the ball drop and will just click thru the bad stuff.
Happy New Year! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE a good Bloody Mary. Tomato juice should only be served in a Bloody Mary.
