Maybe National Bicarbonate of Soda Day falls so close to New Year's Eve owing to its old fashioned use as a hangover remedy and antacid. But we like to imagine that it is being honored for its great utility in the kitchen as baking soda! It helps dough to rise, and also makes a mean toothpaste. Good ol' bicarb!

Silly Chaka! Love you! xo
Sue,
I cracked up at the gun video. It brought to mind when we used to go out to John's parents little house in 29 Palms. We would target shoot. Once we took my best friend Celia. John had her shoot a 30.06. We didn't know but she was holding the gun several inches away from her shoulder! OMG! She got a horrible bruise on her shoulder from that!
I love to shoot and John was always amazed at how well I did. I have heard tell that women are better shots than men. Don't know if that's true.

p.s. Did you ever cook a bacon wrapped turkey? I'll bet that is a moist one!
It rained and blew so hard at my house that it woke everyone up at 2 when the screen door came unlatched and started banging back and forth. This morning, I discovered that the downspouts on the steeper front of my house have pulled out of the gutters and are laying in the flower beds and down the front of the house. Know any good roofers? ;-b
Yes, T, Jerry worked at the BC Range and confirmed that women are better shots than men. Ha! And, no, never cooked a bacon wrapped turkey! ox
@ Claire, LOL! Sounds like you had quite a night. Roofer??? Me thinks you are living with the only one I know!
Yes, you have readers out here that are not telling you how much we enjoy your drivel. I for one fall into that category. Love your stuff, keep it coming, we all need laughter.
